Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIt would have been nice to have had the ability to make a good cup of coffee in our room and not have to go get an ok cup in the lobby. Robes are always nice to have so I missed not having one.
The staff were generally friendly and helpful if I overlook the new trainee who misinformed us about free perks that in fact were not free. Very convenient central location in the fun and energetic Gaslamp Quarter. Easy walk to Embarcadero and waterfront. Tons of bars and restaurants to choose from all within walking distance. No need for a car! The fitness room was well equipped and clean - I always enjoy using one on my travels.

United States of AmericaThe terrible TV offering in my room. A cheap, the bare minimum cable choices! Come on!
The cleanness of the bedroom and restroom was very nice. The TV channels were really disappointing. The cheapest cable subscription, I’m embarrassed for you. Below any high end hotel’s I’ve ever stayed at. You need to rethink your budget for Room Entertainment. This cheapens your value. When people come back to their room after a busy & stressful day, they ant to shower, and turn the TV on, find something that helps you relax, but your hotel has a sub- standard TV menu, it really pisses you off!

United States of Americathe stay included a $10 credit to use at the 24 hour snack bar, but it wasn't clear that not all snacks were included in the credit, so we got 2 snacks that equated to $10, but upon check out we were charged $7 for one of the snacks.

United States of AmericaThe dining options were very limited. It was advertised that there were dining options of 509, 9th floor rooftop bar and room service which provided food 24 hours a day. That was not at all the case and we ended up at 7-11 at 11 pm after the game. 🤮
Location was great! We were in SD for a SF Giants/Padres game and the Gaslamp District and enjoyed everything. Even though we didn’t bring our dogs this stay, it’s nice to know they are welcome.

United States of AmericaIt was impossible to reach anyone at the front desk when calling from our room. We checked in at 4pm. Got to our room. A/C didn’t work. Continuously called down to the front desk via hotel room phone for 30 minutes straight to report the issue—no answer. Called the contact number on their website from our person cell to try to reach the front desk and guest services—no answer. Finally gave up and walked down to the front desk from the 9th floor…patiently waited in the check in line for 20 minutes—explained that our AC unit was not working. Front desk did not apologize for not answering their phones or for the AC not working but said they’d send maintenance up and pushed me aside to continue to service guests in line behind me. Went back up to the room…waited an hour and a half…no maintenance. Called back down to the lobby relentlessly—got ahold of someone after 10 minutes. Explained the situation again…asked for maintenance to be sent up immediately…again no apology, said “okay.” And hung up. Maintenance shows up 20 min later—tried to explain the AC unit was not working and the thermostat on the wall very clearly said “BATTERIES NEED TO BE REPLACED”—the maintenance guy didn’t speak English. We finally gave up. No one ever called back to our room to follow-up and the issue was never resolved.
The hotel room and bathroom were quite large.
