To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We were not only able to check in early but we were able to get lavender scented pillow’s delivered to our room while we were out at our show and they made up the pull out couch for us before we even came back without having to ask!

Last minute booking and hospitality was outstanding, from the gentleman who initially greeted us at the door, to reception staff, bell boy/porter and restaurant servers. Staff went above and beyond - offering a free UG on check-in, to a beautiful suite, with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine delivered to the room, on ice, to celebrate an anniversary. Pool area relaxing, (although jacuzzi was incredibly hot) - area well maintained and facilities more than adequate. Beautifully decorated for the festive season and the bar area was inviting, with a real vibe about it. Definitely recommend and would certainly stay again.
