Walls very thin - could hear folks snoring both nights. Coffee was a bit weak. But everything else was perfect.

There were so many nice little touches in the room, like nice soap and beach towels and cute decorations - they are very thoughtful. They helped me charge my electric vehicle, which was much appreciated. And the room was spacious.

Bathrooms are pretty small but everything works and there's plenty of water pressure for the shower.

This is an old 1950s style motel on the main road in Long Beach, Washington. Nothing fancy but very clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was large and the heating system was great. Cute, new but vintage-looking fridge and microwave, along with all the usual other hotel niceties. Comfy beds and enough lighting.

It was so cute, very beachy, everyone was so polite, the TV was a smart TV so we could watch Disney and Netflix! The beds were comfortable and the blankets were so soft!

I needed a getaway. This place was perfect for what I needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was great! The location is just what I like. A nice walk to the beach and not a crowded area.

We arrived at night, and the sign was poorly lit. Shower was somewhat small.

The theme and decorations were cute. The owners are personable and called to be certain of our arrival time and to have our room open if we arrived after their office closed. Very clean. It was nice that the bathroom glasses were not disposable plastic.

In this day of multiple personal electronic devices, it would have been nice to have a few more conveniently placed outlets. I’m sure this could be accomplished with some power strips or lamps with charging ports, etc.

My wife and I (mid-60’s) were traveling through the area and happened upon this little inn. On road trips we often and prefer to stay at 50’s/60’s style motor inns simply for the convenience of being able to drive right up to your room, but often they can be a little drab and tired. This place has been completely refreshed and we were blown away by the quality of the accommodation! From the comfort of the beds, to the lovely plantings and exterior seating area, to the new but funky colored retro appliances, everything was top notch. While some places might offer in room coffee, if you’re lucky—in addition to coffee (Wolfgang Puck) in room selections at the Mermaid also included tea, hot chocolate, and breakfast bars! All this at a cost that while not inexpensive, is comparable to the area and indeed was less than a local Motel 6 we considered. Great little Mexican restaurant next door and close to many others, but be mindful that eateries tend to close early here 8/8:30–at least when we visited in mid-September. Would not hesitate to stay here again and wish we would have had more time to explore all the area has to offer!
