Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomI could not for the life of me figure out how to switch on the side lamps, perhaps this was my own silly mistake. I would have liked some tea/coffee options in the room. Also the rooftop was closed at the time I was there, which was a shame but apparently it would reopen during the summer.
Excellent location in the heart of Soho area, with plenty of food options and a perfect area to easily get around to the main attractions. I loved the classy interior and design which gave the hotel some character. I had heard that rooms in New York were well known for being tiny, but I was pleased that my room was bigger than I expected. As a solo traveler, this hotel made me feel very comfortable and safe, would highly recommend!

TurkeyLimited closet space for two people especially for an extended stay. We stayed 12 nights in a row. I asked for just 2 hours extension for check out. We were only given half an hour. The front office staff tried to help but apparently it was denied by the manager.
Location very convenient. Clean, not worn out and well maintained. Staff friendly and helpful.

GermanyFrom the window towards the street one sees a car repair shop and lots of graffiti. The hotel was being restored at the time we were there, which was not announced on the web site - but it was only a minor inconvenience.
The Nolitan lies just inside China Town, at the border of Little Italy (area called Nolita). The style is "industrial, or steam punk". It was clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Free coffee was offered until 10am. One can find plenty restaurants in walking distance.

NetherlandsThe location is perfect. Right between soho/ nolitan/ chinatown. It can be noisy, but take earplugs and thats solved. There is no breakfast, but who needs that when you are in this location? Rooms are clean and comfy. People behind reception superfriendly and helpful.

United Kingdomthe internet was VERY slow. maybe it was just my room? the hot water in the shower took about 5 minutes to heat up. there were no convenient plug sockets by the bed or the desk. I’d have to unplug the tv to make room for my laptop.
great location and the bed was very comfortable with some convenient storage under the bed. the ceiling fan and aircon were all easy to use so it was simple to get the room temperature just how I like it. the staff were friendly and welcoming.

South AfricaI hate coffee in polystyrene cups (SO BAD for the environment) and so whilst I appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee in the mornings I wish the mugs provided were reusable . Also , my balcony was not because of renovations being done to the facade.
Superb location to lovely streets, buzzing cafes and restaurants , easy access to all subways and to Soho and Chinatown. A really lovely place to walk, eat and shop. Friendly reception staff who knew the area and could make recommendations. Loved reading my book in the foyer and people watching.

United KingdomThe hallways and lift feel a bit drab so it's a surprise to walk into a light and airy room. There's no room service or gym on site, though you can use a nearby gym and there's so many food options here so it's not a huge deal. This hotel isn't particularly cheap, I stayed in other hotels in San Francisco for a similar price and got a lot more for the money, but this reflects on New York rather than The Nolitan. I paid $500 a night here with taxes etc, maybe even more, and it felt expensive for what I got. But that's New York....
The room isn't massive but for New York it's relatively spacious. It was also really quiet, considering. Didn't hear my neighbours but you do get traffic noise, that street isn't so bad though especially as the night goes on. The Front Desk staff were great, so accommodating, warm and friendly. The room was always cleaned on request, even when I asked later in the day. It's a great area to stay in too because you have everything on the doorstep, so many shops and food options and the subway is close by.
