Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe AC in our room (111) didn't really give us cool air & overnight it would get really warm. The ceiling fan helped somewhat but wasn't sufficient. Two suggestions, a light under the upper cupboards to help illuminate the counter space without having the whole room lit would be very helpful & a second chair. Other than that all is good.
Well located, cost efficient & friendly. They managed to accommodate us on a very early check in which was awesome.

IranThey provided a microwave oven and a coffee machine inside the rooms, but they did not provide chairs and tables, which could have been easily achievable. If we wanted to eat anything in the room, there was no place to sit. Another point was the lack of a handwashing sink in the bathroom, despite there being a large one in the room, which did not make sense. They provided numerous kitchen cabinets in the room that were useless; instead, they could have removed them and simply added one or two tables with two chairs.
Cleanliness, great and supportive staff, location, facilities, and beautiful interior architecture of the hotel.

United States of AmericaWalls are thin, you can hear everything going on in the hallways. The mattress was so uncomfortable and the pillows were not soft. The room and bathroom was incredibly small, I’m 7 months pregnant and had such a hard time going around the bed to go to the bathroom. Even my husband had to waddle around the bed. It was even hard to shower comfortably because the shower was small. No parking, there was also no parking garages near by. We got lucky with street parking nearby but I felt so anxious not having a safe place for my car. Also little Italy is a good 10-15 min walk away. The hotel name is a little misleading. It did not feel like the safest walk to little Italy… The good thing is we only stayed here 1 night and overall it was a clean place to sleep and shower. Next time I’m in SD I would spend that extra $50 to stay at a more comfortable hotel
Easy check in, nice staff, cute hotel

United States of AmericaNot that I did not like, just a heads up. Only street parking but I never had an issue finding. No elevator, but only a few stories. If you can’t do stairs, make sure you ask for 1st floor when booking. It is only the edge of Hillcrest and Downtown neighborhoods, so it is a few blocks walking distance to walking areas. Just need to be city smart. I really liked this property and all it offered.
Very convenient to Hillcrest, Downtown and Boba Park. Boutique feel. Nice clean updated room with kitchenette and private bath (room 228). Affordable. Friendly staff. Secure.

LebanonNo electric plugs near the bed was my only inconvenience. Staff are not available all the time but, I was able to communicate through Booking messages which was convenient.
Very friendly and helpful staff. I was able to keep my bag way past checkout and I really appreciated that I didn’t have to carry it with me everywhere I went. Location was very convenient and the price was good considering all the options. Pretty safe. Cute room. Water available at the lobby. Staff always picked the phone up and were helpful.

GermanyThere is no elevator, so if your room is located on the upper floor, you have to climb stairs.
Location of the hotel is great: very close to Balboa Park with its zoo and many museums. Also only a 10-20 minute walk to the city center (Gaslamp quarter etc.) with many attractions around. I found the hotel itself to be nicer than the online appearance suggested. Initially, I was a bit worried because the hotel changed names after I booked it. But on-site, I learned that another company bought the hotel and they wanted to change the name into something that matches the location better, which makes sense.

CanadaThe walls are thin, so you can hear the noise from the corridors. Little Italy is right underneath the flight path to the international airport, so expect noise from planes coming in to land after 6am and until 10pm. The room could have used a lockbox for storing valuables.
Amazing value for the location in Little Italy. Steps away from Balboa park and half an hour walk to the shore front. Close to the airport by public transit. The room had small fridge, kitchen sink, kitchen cabinets, a TV, some shelving with a coat rack, and an attached bathroom with a shower. The bed was clean and comfortable. Great for solo or thrifty travelers. The staff was by far the most helpful and friendliest of any hotel I’d stayed at.
