Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The $60 pet per day fee. I had my dog we checked in late evening and left at 11 am checkout.
The price and location. I had been traveling for over 14 hours and needed rest.

Was dirty floors inside other then that was fine
Area was great I believe was the owner never can be to sure very rude and questioning and attacking me as I was registering in the hotel of why I was registering as one person when I had two people in my vehicle and I explained to him twice didn’t matter what he sees in my vehicle. I was the only one going to be occupying the room, and he began to argue with me and become argumentative and feel very very uncomfortable I had to explain to him that my children where in the vehicle and was going to be assisting me if that would help him to quit arguing with me made me and my children feel uncomfortable because it delayed me being registered sooner because I had to explain him why two extra people were sitting in my vehicle while I registered as if it’s illegal very rude obnoxious uncomfortable disrespectful, but I had to suck it up because the hotel was already reserved and nothing was available on that area. Had there been availability? I would have not done business with these people ever never

two beds with 4 people and I was charged for an "extra person" and one of the persons was 10.
Perfect location, it's right on the beach. Check-in was seamless and I was able to check in early with for an additional fee of course. The shower could be a little cleaner. Overall, for the price and the location it did the job for me and my girls one night stay. I didn't like having to go the front office for ice, but that was a minor annoyance.

How small the room was. How we had to walk around the property to get to the beach. How we had to pay $20 a night for our extra car. How parking was a block and a half away for the motel.
How close to the ocean it was. Staff was friendly, always got us what we asked for.

The beds were a bit uncomfortable, mainly because there was a cover on the mattress. Also, it was very loud outside. Nothing kept the noise from bleeding through the wall/door.
I liked the location, parking was convenient, and it was easy to check in and out. Our stay was certainly worth the relatively low price tag.

The floors weren’t the cleanest, the bathroom had a few dead bugs, the shower still had other human hair & old soap residue in it.
It was comfortable to sleep in & it was super close to the beach.

all stairs, and someone that is in a boot for a pulled achilles, it literally killed me to walk 2 blocks to the hotel from the parking spot and then up and down them stairs multiple times. that absolutely infuriated

I didn't get what I was expecting entrances all outside!! all stairs!! parking is only enough space for like 4 cars !!! most definitely for lower class people but pay rich man price! should be 60.00 a night !!!!!!! but charged 260. plus 25. early check-in also 30. for pet,also 10. for parking way to much for a what looks a 1965 motel

The staff, very poor. Kicked one of our family members out (the staffs guest) of the office because we were trying to figure out why we were paying for extra parking when it wasn’t stated on any website. We weren’t arguing, just trying to figure out why we were paying for free parking. Also prices for dogs were never stated on the website, and it was very expensive.

bathroom was dirty, and towels looked like they had already been used. holes in walls patched over but not pained or sanded down. bug traps on the floor. stains on the sheets, and even burn holes on sheets as well.
