Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our refrigerator was leaking water and when I notified the staff they just said put a towel down, all of the refrigerators do that because of condensation. Well, it was cold outside so not sure how it could have been condensation. I think if a property has this kind of problem with the equipment they should fix or replace them, not tell guests to put a towel down. Not knocking the staff as I am sure they are following protocol, I just didn't think it was very nice or professional. Other than that, and the neighbors who decided to pull a chair outside and sit in front our our door smoking and talking loudy, everything else was fine
Hotel location was great and right at the strand, unfortunately the weather was not as hoped and never made it out to the beach. Not the fault of the property. Staff was awesome!

I was quite satisfied for this to be a last minute booking.
It’s located right across the street from the beach. The facilities were clean and well kept. Breakfast was delicious. Every staff member I encountered was super friendly.

Facility was under renovation which was not stated in any information regarding this property. Arrived and found caution tape around most of the first floor. Only one elevator working and very slow. Common areas all torn up. Stairs blocked off because of resealing the cement.

The first room I was assigned was not totally clean but I was immediately given another room. It was a little noisy.
I liked the location, staff, and breakfast. The location is suburb! The staff members are helpful and kind, and the breakfast is awesome!

When I checked in, no one told me that I had to ask by 9:00 for the room to be attended to. I actually extended my stay for a 4th night and at 9:20 am, asked that the room be refreshed. The answer was No. The other issue was that when I checked in, the containers of shampoo and conditioner were completely empty in the shower. The body wash ran out on the 3rd day.
The room was comfy and Elizabet, the breakfast lady was amazing! I was hiking the Florida Trail and the location is perfect!

The only thing I didn't like were that whatever they are using to mop the tile floor in our room was slick and pretty gross. My husband and I found the grimy film on the floor so unpleasant that we kept our flip flops on the whole time. It was like walking on a restaurants greasy kitchen floor if you know what that's like.
I LOVED the location. The staff were polite and helpful. The amenities were great, from breakfast to providing make up remover wipes and a gift shop where you could buy reasonably priced alcoholic beverages to take to your room. I especially loved that you could reserve bikes, paddle boards, or kayak at no charge! Amazing!

The shades in the room need to be replaced. TV was old and remote didn’t work. Bed mattress was not very comfortable. The elevator was being repaired and we had to go down the dirty stairs and laundry area. Overall was ok

Had to try several times to finally get the coffee pot to work; also, the TV should really be replaced. Was hard to watch movies due to a stretchy-like screen that distorted images. Just really weird and aggravating.
We stay here every year. We love the location - walking distance from everywhere we like to go, including the beach!
