Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The shades in the room need to be replaced. TV was old and remote didn’t work. Bed mattress was not very comfortable. The elevator was being repaired and we had to go down the dirty stairs and laundry area. Overall was ok
Decent breakfast. The lady that served breakfast was great! Location was great.

Had to try several times to finally get the coffee pot to work; also, the TV should really be replaced. Was hard to watch movies due to a stretchy-like screen that distorted images. Just really weird and aggravating.
We stay here every year. We love the location - walking distance from everywhere we like to go, including the beach!

It wasn’t the cleanest room ever since they don’t have housekeepers because of Covid I guess.
I liked the location as well as the extra amenities like bike riding and kayaking. I liked the set up of the room.

Clean, spacious & modern room. Great location. Breakfast was good. Complimentary kayaks & bikes were a nice surprise. The outdoor firepit was nice in the evening.

Coffee and breakfast were greatly appreciated and the location a block from the beach was really nice and the area is not thoroughly built up so traveling along the beach was nice. Staff was friendly. Nice to have an elevator even though the rooms are accessed from an outdoor corridor. the heater/air conditioner ran quietly compared to all other hotels we stayed in the past couple weeks. Nice shower with shampoo & conditioner dispensers - really nice
Hotel is close (one block) to the beach but is not seen from hotel window. Location near the Pensacola Beach is nice, there is a public facility across the street on the beach. To get to hotel - there is a toll bridge each time you travel to the hotel. The breakfast was nice and the attendant was very helpful (and made waffles). Couple items missing were yogurt and fresh fruit. I had hoped for am exercise room but didn't exist at this hotel. Mattress was worn and somewhat dished. TV channel selector was difficult to figure out and no tv guide available

The location was great for our planned adventures. Parking right outside of our room on the first floor was convenient. The coffee breakfast area was nice and the staff friendly.

It’s right next to a place that was always blaring music and people was rude standing around are door talking and yell across room in the middle of night
The pool,the rooms were nice for the price, also nice price for being right next to the beach and restaurants you literary could park and walk everywhere for vacation. Also the free bikes and kayaks was also nice

Floor in our rooms was dirty from the first day. Water spilled from shower first night and when we went to wipe it the towel was dark brown.
The women who worked the breakfast was just a joy. So friendly and helpful.
