Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

My fault, I booked a smoking room. By mistake. They were sold out. It did stink a lot. A lot of "long stay" people I guess 🤔

The pillow was upright against the wall which made me think it wasn't clean. Had to flush the toilet twice for it to empty.

Had to wait thirty minutes to check in. Staff member on break.This was 6 pm. Only two bath towels in the room. No hand towels or wash cloth.

First room would not open, had to rekey for a different room. No hair dryer or coffee maker in room as is generally standard even at a 3 star. Fridge did not work.

A lot of noise around. People walking back and forth, makes you feel unsafe. We requested and payed for a queen size bed and provided us with a full size. Gave us a hard time when checking in, it was under my husband's name and still requested my ID, unfortunately I didn't carry mine we had to ask and speak to the owner. Room looked clean, but had a weird smell, I want to say is from their carpet. No Internet.
Is ok for one night.

So, .I WILL NOT pay for Wi-Fi, and ended up using my phone as a hotspot. 2ndly, There are NO OUTLETS anywhere but in the bathroom, so I needed to 'Borrow' an extension cord to plug in my laptop. No coffee in the room is also a minus.
I liked the location and will stay at the same place again. Also, the folks I spoke to in the office were very, very nice............. a big plus.

I couldn't use the laundry in the afternoon of my checkout date. I have not had this problem anywhere else .
But the room size is fair and the blankets were the best ever.

I understood having to present my ID with my credit card but then I was asked for my husband’s ID as well to make a copy of it so they know who is staying in the room? I thought that was strange and unnecessary. Unless they’ve had trouble with rooms being used for activity other than sleeping. Bed uncomfortable and lumpy. Small refrigerator was wide open when we got into our room so it wasn’t cold. Thin small towels. I would not stay here again.
The price on booking.com, $117, location to the 101 freeway. The young man at the front desk was very kind and pleasant.

ALL THE HOMELESS PEOPLE HANGING OUT AT NITE TIME.
THE PLACE WAS "OK" FOR THE MONEY. ITS LOCATED IN THE NEW BURY PARK AREA NEAR CAMARILLO. IT'S A INEXPENSIVE PLACE....NICE BUT THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS LIVING THERE AS WELL. THEY COME OUT AT NITE, DRINK, TALK WAY TOO LOUD, LEAVE GARBAGE AROUND, ETC... "LOCK YOUR CAR DOORS AND HOTEL DOOR" TOO. DON'T LEAVE VALUABLES OUT SHOWING IN YOUR VEHICLE...NOTHING!!

Having to pay for the wifi 😑 I stayed during COVID pandemic so NOTHING was available,no pool, or even an ice maker. Staff was not overly friendly more just the “ I just work here “ attitude. Just meh attitude. Most places provide wifi by now and I somehow overlooked it when booking. They charge a fee I think it was around $10 per day. Overall I still felt safe enough and it was very quiet.
Close proximity to stores, freeway and restaurants. Tidy budget room so no frills.It was quiet and in a good area of the highway with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. If you’re not looking for luxury and want a quiet place ( and don’t need free wifi) this place will do just fine.
