We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

CroatiaI was travelling with a group and had to exit the main lodgings in the city (as they could not extend our stay to later in afternoon due to other booking). But I was extra tired and needed to quickly find a place to rest for 6-7 hours till the flight late in the evening and this seemed a good choice near the airport. I arrived 3 hours earlier than check-in hours and although I wasn't going to stay the full day nor have (included) breakfast, they still charged me in cash extra 50% of the room price (and I got no receipt for that). I was very tired so I said Ok. The air-conditioning in the first room I got was noisy and could not be turned off (so I could get some sleep), so I first had to wait for the repairman to arrive, then for him to try to fix it (which he did not manage in some time), untill they finally gave me another room. In the end it turned out to be an overpriced short sleep at a place where I didn't feel welcome at all (mostly by the person at the front desk). Never again.
The repairman behaved kindly and was apologetic.

United States of AmericaThere was a man urinating by the door when we arrived. Musty smells throughout. No microwave. Coffee maker didn’t work. Wifi was spotty at best. Loud neighbors. We left after one night, eating two night’s charges. A bad experience overall though the man on duty was friendly and apologetic.

United States of AmericaHorrible breakfast: eggs horrible everything else was ok. They only thing that was decent was the waffles. Ants in the bathroom and crawling on the towels!! The comfort Inn Shuttle never came at the airport ending up getting an Uber. The man at the front desk seem to not care about it and did nothing to make my stay comfortable. Ice machine broken on one floor. No refrigerator no microwave.

United States of AmericaThe shuttle to pick up from the airport ended at 10PM yet we had been told by the driver before that the service was around the clock. We called at 10 pm and they wouldn't come to get us. A taxi cost $20. We made a stink with the night manager and in the morning after more threats to complain on their web site, they gave us $20 cash.
Able to park car there for 2 weeks.

United States of AmericaThe Communication between the hotel and the third party I used to make the reservation was the worst I have seen. The third party emailed me about a specific request I had made saying that they had sent the request to the hotel and it had not replied yet and to go ahead and contact the hotel myself. When contacted, the hotel employee said They could not do anything and everything had to be done through the third party. Then finally I got a confirmation from the third party saying that the hotel had agreed to switch the day of my reservation at the same rate. I got a confirmation number, the dates for check in and check out were correct, etc. On the day of my arrival, there was a delay with my flight and I got into the airport a bit after 10pm, when the hotel shuttle stops running. I called the hotel and the employee told me there was no shuttle anymore to take a cab. I did but when I got to the hotel she said that my reservation had been cancelled by the third party 2 days before. We had received zero notification from either the third party or the hotel abut a cancellation. None. The employee was rude, offered no apology norr help. She said they were fully booked and told me to get a room next door or across the street. I asked for a manager and she said there was no manager until MOnday (this was Friday night.) I left. had my wife on the phone with the third party and they verified in their system that the reservation HAD NOT been cancelled and it was indeed still very active in their system. She said the hotel must have cancelled it to sell the room to one of their directly paying customers. She offered a voucher / refund of only part of what I had to pay at the hotel across the street from Comfort Inn. I will be forwarding my invoice from the second hotel to the third party reservation site to get a partial refund for the fee. Apparently they will deal directly with Comfort Inn for this refund. Poor customer service is what made such a bad impression!!

BelgiumOne half of the rooms face the highway, so there is a continuous traffic sound. There were no rooms available that faced the back, which is quieter. There were loud sounds from outside the hotel at 2 am. The cleanliness is low - I found an empty medicine blister in my room. The carpeted floors don’t inspire confidence. There is no restaurant, no kitchen facilities and no supermarkets close by. You’ll have to order food in, or go to the Dulles Town Center mall, around 5 miles away.
it was billed as close to the airport, so it is conveniently located for onward flights that take off the next day.
