The staff was great and very nice, and waited for me to arrive on a night where it was heavy fog and rain and I couldn't drive fast, they also gave me calls to check on me. Very clean and relaxing property.

The tv was too small and placed in an awkward position. Would have preferred to have an actual mini fridge instead of mini bar, so that I could enjoy the snacks I prefer and that were not so costly. No temperature control for the room. There was no thermostat. Appreciated that breakfast was included. However, serving the exact same things and with no meat option each day made it not so appealing for the multiple days of our stay.

The rooms and view were absolutely wonderful! Appreciated the heated toilet seat and bidet.

Buddhist theme is prominent in the common areas (not a bad thing just something to be aware of), quiet is encouraged but rooms have TVs (I didn't mind that at all but kept my volume very low), room had no place to sit except for on bed or at two dining chairs but there was no table. Bed was soft but a little lumpy. The weirdest thing was that I was awoken in the morning by a loud noise that sounded like someone repeatedly slamming a door (or a cupboard) and stomping up and down the hallway outside my room, which was particularly odd considering the emphasis on peace and quiet.

Nothing in particular, I really love the experience. Probably the prices on massage were a little bit higher than were I expected, but nothing impossible to pay.

Our recent stay in Julian was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and breathtaking views of the serene lake. The room with its lake view was simply spectacular, offering us the perfect backdrop for a tranquil retreat.

I loved the location of the place! The staff was very warm and welcoming. The overall ambiance of the retreat was so peaceful. As soon as you walk in the door you can feel a whole different atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone of my friends and family. Definitely worth the money.

Love it all.

This is an amazing resort overlooking Lake Cuyamaca. Every attention to detail was taken care of with Buddha statues, wall hanging, sculptures, ornate furniture, and other decorations from Asia throughout the resort. The staff was friendly and accommodating, always there to help answer questions. The meditation room is beautiful and relaxing. We really enjoyed reading our books in the common area overlooking the lake while sipping on tea. The breakfast was hearty and healthy. We attended a guided meditation that was a great way to unwind. The sauna was cherry on top. Will be back again soon.

Loved my stay. Hard to find a downside. Only thing I could say to future travelers is, if you’re staying in one of the downstairs, lake suites, with the spa tubs..you can hear everything upstairs. I think the kitchen or breakfast room must have been right above me. It sounded like people were in my room, staring at 6:30 am. Stomping and running back and forth and loud banging until about 10 am. Also, my spa tub didn’t hold water. Fully drained after about 10 minutes of being filled. I’m sure it’s an easy fix with a new plug or patch.

Loved the view and friendlystaff. The room was very nice and loved the extra touches. I had a great massage at the spa and wish I had time to use the outdoor, communal jacuzzi with the awesome view. The hotel is very accommodating and has a lot to offer with billiard rooms and yoga classes.

Wallpaper and furniture in room was a bit wierd and crazy, ice and snow wasn't cleared at entrance from parking lot to room, which is a bit odd since it was the "handicapped" accessible room. There were no napkins at breakfast.

We liked everything, it was beautiful

The personnel is very friendly. Sarah helped us at every moment. The room was beautiful, spacious, clean, quiet, the AC was perfect, you will love the bathroom with a tub. We traveled with a 3-year-old child and Sarah helped us place an extra bed for him. Breakfast was adequate and tasty. The terrace and the view from the room towards the lake were incredible, much better than what can be seen in the photographs. In the morning, we saw many deer. Simply perfect to spend the days as a couple or with family.
