Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The bathtub wasn't the cleanliness, The room didn't provide a refrigerator, so you can't store any leftovers. If I am paying close to$400 for 2 nights, I would like to place to store food and or have cold water. Again, for almost $400, I believe a least 2 complimentary water bottles would be a nice touch.
The location. There were plenty of food options, and close to JFK. The breakfast was good, glad that was an option. I did like the view from our 5-floor room that was facing Manhattan. The shower head was awesome, the way the water came out, made it for a good shower after a long day of exploring.

Basic things such as personal hygiene use are sold and in all the hotels I have visited I have not had to pay for that, I paid for a stay in which I was not allowed to have ice or coffee and the treatment was rude although the welcome in the lobby was excellent
Breakfast is not my preference since it is Asian and not American, it should be varied but the location of the hotel is wonderful

The room amenities (i.e. shampoo, soap,..) were very minimal.
The location to many dining options was a big plus. The staff was very polite and the morning breakfast was adequate.

Bad internet connection, it was on and off and so slow. Also, the breakfast is no longer good unlike before. the bacon and noodles were no longer available.
Room and Staff are great... but breakfast need to improve.

The hotel gave a pretty old vibe. Even if the hotel is old I think a small retouch could help make the hotel in general look a bit more attractive.
The breakfast needed a bit more of fresh fruits or vegetables but in general it was okay (add orange juice or apple juice). The rooms were pretty clean but the hotel being a bit old it looked dusty and stuffed (especially the curtains, they were too thick and heavy).

The rooms should be updated. The walls and bed frames have wood and painting coming off. Very outdated
The hotel was located close to the main road. Very convenient. Staff was excellent.

Our room was distressed, the sheets stained and the bed was not a queen. We learned that some of the hotel has been renovated. Not that room. The staff immediately moved us to an updated room and upgraded the type of room . No issue - very accommodating and understanding. Saved the day! And breakfast was pretty good.
The staff was fabulous . Great location if going to CitiField. Near the subway. Many restaurants nearby

Room is very very small and cramped for its price. Bathroom and beds are very small. There was an unpleasant smell maybe from curtains or carpet. We have stayed before in the same property and that room was decent and its not carpeted. tiles looked so new maybe that room was renovated. Breakfast then and now was exactly the same so maybe they serve same everyday which is not good if you stay there for more than a day.
Property is conveniently located near shops and many asian restaurants. There is a subway nearby also.

We had no WiFi signal on our television, however the weather was very bad (rainy) the day we arrived which is no fault of the hotel.
We were able to check-in hours ahead of the scheduled time.

I have stayed in other hotels in the area that have a fridge and more in soap/shampoo.
Very friendly staff and the location was great. I was a block from many restaurants. The breakfast was good.
