Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe one complaint I have is that they allowed the hotel to be overbooked, which caused my relocation. The entire reason I booked a night at this hotel was because I knew I was going to be drinking and did not want to leave the hotel and walk down the street drunk.
The hotel was over booked due to the event that I was attending. the hotel did have another room at another hotel down the street set up. but the ballroom was amazing. All of the staff was extremely professional and were definitely a part of the good time I had there. I am looking forward to coming back next year

United States of AmericaThe bathroom definitely could have been cleaner. It was fine in the main areas (floor, sink, tub, toilet) but the tile by the ceiling and in the corners/against the walls was a bit neglected. The rest of the room was clean. Parts of the hotel were under construction so I wasn't bothered by the little extra dust outside the room.
The staff was very friendly. I always appreciate when a hotel offers me water upon arrival and at departure 😄 The bed was very comfortable. The room temperature was at 65° when we arrived which was perfect. Also, the fan/AC ran all night which helped me sleep 😴 There wasn't a lack of hot water at all which was great for bathing and cleaning up. If you wanted to drink water from the sink you'd need ice for sure. The location was great. The square across the street has good coffee. We were able to walk to and from the fieldhouse to see the concert we came for. I don't recommend walking alone at night though. I loved the art throughout the hotel!

United States of AmericaWalked in to get a price of 199.00 on Wednesday night 1/22/2023 to 1/23/2023. Went online and booked a queen bed for 2 adults for 129.00 with a 50.00 deposit! Not having coffee in my room. Being charged 35.00 for Valet parking after we pulled up to the hotel. Wi-Fi being an additional charge. The outlets in operatable. Lots of homeless people begging.
The bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice. It was clean. Didnt have to walk in the street to Jacks Casino.

United States of AmericaThe hotel itself is beautiful, but the rooms, particularly the bathrooms need a little refresh.
Hotel is connected to tower city mall and the Jack casino. We booked a room overlooking the city center with the Christmas lights and ice rink and the view was fabulous. The room was also quite large which was a pleasant surprise.

United States of AmericaDaily Housekeeping could be better. Must be staffing issues, like everywhere. Buffet breakfast was very average but eggs were hot. Seen better at lower priced hotels. Shower was ancient. I thought I might pull the faucet off to get the water going. Looks old, rugs, decor, etc. Seems old like Downtown Cleveland but also improvements are coming. They charge $12.95 for internet unless you are a Bonvoy member. That's in keeping with their 1990s vibe and ridiculous.
This Marriott Renaissance in downtown Cleveland is easily accessible from the airport by train. It looks like it was once a very elegant hotel with lots of nice features but today it appears need of serious renovation. So.....I saw a sign that said it will be renovated soon under the name Cleveland Hotel. That will help a lot. Beds were good. Shower was poor but it worked. There was a buffet breakfast. Location is great. First Energy Stadium, Progressive Park, Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and entertainment areas are all nearby. This was the best feature. Jack Casino was close by. If you liked the movie Casino, it probably was last renovated when that came out. Staff was friendly, especially Jodi in breakfast area.

AustraliaThere was frequently a problem with the lifts/elevators. This caused frustration at times when people were trying to get to conference sessions on time. Probably the weather could have been better organised - all great hotels have that power??
The room on the 9th floor was comfortable, clean and inviting. Staff were always helpful even when crowds were seeking attention. The layout was good and very suitable for the conference. The decor was inviting and added to the overall atmosphere. A very pleasant stay!
