Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

A fun place to stay within easy walking distance to Downtown, Boston Common etc. Lovely ‘pineapple themed’ decor, great service and fun bar&restaurant on the ground level. Very comfy bed.

United States of AmericaA refill of coffee after first night would have been appreciated though when we asked, coffee pods and wash cloths were replenished quickly.
great location for walking around Boston and close to the train station. The room was adorable, and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was modern and nice but also small and slightly off smelling, maybe due to lack of ventilation. Coffee/tea in the room was nice as well. The staff was warm and helpful. I would certainly choose to stay there again.

United States of AmericaI understand Boston is expensive, but there were some compromises on amenities that just didn't seem right at the price-point, e.g., the bathroom sink was so small, there was virtually no room to leave toiletries, nor hooks for hand towels; beds made and towels changed only every other day; toilet paper was the cheap, single-ply kind; etc. I could not hear other rooms from my room, but walking in the halls, the soundproofing was such that I could hear the other rooms, as if there was no barrier.
Rooms were very clean and comfortable, with large pillows on the bed. Location can't be beat, as it's a short walk from Back Bay Station. Welcome drink included upon arrival.

United States of AmericaThe room was smaller than I expected. Other than that I had a lovely stay. Good value for money compared to the 'corporate' hotels around Boston.
The place is really sweet decorated with pineapple designs everywhere. Very dog friendly. The location was not bad, although not very central to anything, more like a 10 minute walk.

United KingdomShowers - see above!
This is a really wonderful hotel - the location is perfect for local places to eat, with a short walk into the main shopping area. The staff are wonderful - super friendly and lots of lovely touches (free drink in the bar on arrival; our room was decorated with balloons and rose petals as it was our honeymoon!), and the bar was full every night we were there (but we didn't hear a peep from it on the 5th floor). The only niggle which they can't really do anything about, is that I am very small and the monsoon shower heads are quite high up! The water pressure isn't strong so showers were ok, not great. Otherwise, perfect in every way.

United KingdomUnable to charge mobile phones in charging sockets (had to do it via computer cable which was slow), the hotel cost was alot of money, could do with being soundproofed as it could be a little noisy due to highway traffic location and also trains outside close to the hotel, noise coming from bathroom during the night possibly due to toilet
Friendly helpful staff, good quality TV, location

United KingdomA mini fridge would be nice!
Great location - South End and near Back Bay. Great decor and very quiet room - I upgraded to a corner room, so no one passed by my door. Would recommend doing this - well worth it. Very comfortable bed with two duvets instead of fitted sheets. Also had the most controllable temperature settings of any hotel I've stayed in with air con and adjustable radiator - both worked and could get the room temp just right. Great place for breakfast round the corner. Felt pretty safe walking back from restaurants at night. Check in and check out really easy and staff friendly and helpful. So much nicer than the corporate hotels I usually stay in for work trips. Highly recommended.

IndonesiaObviously a bigger room would have been better, but it was cozy and the space was well designed! Drinking water and a fridge would have been good in the room.
We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but we did have supper downstairs which we enjoyed and we loved the location.

United States of AmericaThe TV did not work - either the directv or the streaming from personal device - and the coffee maker didn't work. The plugs in the main room were not oriented in such a way that they were usable for appliances with a full size plug with different size prongs.
