Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

LatviaOn our arrival day there was rain in the city, and the bathroom was flooded due to bad window isolation. Had to wipe all the water with our towels. There was some mold in the bathroom.
Big and comfortable bed. Location - not too far from the centre, easy to walk to main sightseeing objects.

EstoniaThe hotel is basically a floor of renovated apartments, and whoever did the renovation wasn't really skilled, or did not apply much effort. Nor have the rooms been properly cleaned-up after work was done - there are markings on the walls where measurements were taken (no smell of dust or anything, so the rooms themselves are well-cleaned), tiles and fittings in the bathroom are not properly aligned. Power outlets are sparse and some of them are far from ideal location - for example in my room there was a single outlet that could either power a fridge, fan or a kettle. The SOS cord (I guess it is legally mandated to have one) in bathroom was tucked away behind a mirror, so I assume it is non-functional. Room locking mechanism (I won't go into details) felt a bit insecure. Wi-Fi was bad. The receptionist couldn't find extra shower gel package - I only had one in the room. Noise isolation between rooms leaves a lot to be desired, so keep your fingers crossed for well-behaved neighbours. Just to be clear, overall the room was good, but there are a lot of details that could be improved upon. Lastly, other reviewers already pointed this out, but the hotel itself is located on third(?) floor - not an issue for me, but if you have mobility issues pick something else.
Staff is very proactive and helpful, really great check-in experience. Hotel is located close enough to the train station and city centre so it is easy to walk, but far enough for street to be reasonably quiet. There are lot of shops and cafes nearby. Rooms were well cleaned, room air was fresh and AC was reasonably capable - just set it in advance.

CanadaCentrale not for me. I foud it a bit far and for a solo traveler coming back at night was a bit tricky. I got home way earlier because of the location that felt a little bit of the grid. It was a good 20 min from the cathedrale.
Isabella is amazing always taking care of her customer. Room was accurate exactly like the picture.

United Kingdom…Unfortunately there were a few key aspects which affected our stay in this “boutique hotel”. The experience was not quite as expected, the air conditioning did not work, the over head shower didn’t work either (there was a hand held one but there was no way to even turn the over head one on), the fittings around the plug sockets and around the shower mechanism were exposed around the outside where no casing/filling had been put. There was also a safe but no key (we did get provided with a box however this did not seem a safe enough option to leave valuables).
The location of this property was great (very close to train station and to the main attractions of Florence) and it felt very safe. The decor seemed very new and tastefully done. We where welcomed by the host on arrival who was very friendly and was responsive over message. Overall, a pleasant stay and would stay again if a few small issues were resolved…

AustraliaThe bathroom is a bit small, but at the end of the day, it's just to shower and a place to sleep. 13 min walk into the heart of the city.
Small hotel, which is great! Isabella, the receptionist, is so helpful and accommodating and a warm person. Laundromat 2 min walk, lots of mini marts along the . Great pizza places along the way.

United KingdomUnfortunately there was quite a noisy bar across the road which closed around 2-2:30. Great normally but not so great when you've had a full days sightseeing:) Room looks a lot bigger and more luxurious in the Booking .com Photos, but adequate for a rest in the afternoon and a comfortable sleep. (After 2 a.m). Room had clean sheets and tidied every day.
Good Location. 20mins walk the major architectural goodies. 2 mins walk to the River, another 10-15 to the famous bridge. Lovely weather, very warm and sunny (early May). Bustling Florentine city centre. Decent Aperol.

IrelandTheir entrance is not very good, it's an unmarked door off the street, you come in to a hallway and have to go up 2 floors to get to the reception. The reception also smelled, but there was no smell in the room. It's not really a hotel, more of a large apartment that was converted into separate hotel rooms. None of these things would prevent me from staying here again, but it surprised me as it was not what I was expecting.
The room itself was lovely and clean with a comfortable bed and good air conditioning and a nice bathroom. The staff were also super nice and even video chatted us when we couldn't find the place. They even left us a bottle of wine and snacks in the room when they found out it was our honeymoon. Overall I think we would stay here again happily.

New ZealandNoise from the street could not be suppressed even with the windows closed. If you have too heavy luggage then carrying it upstairs until you reach the lift is a daunting task.
We were glad to have a water kettle. My wife had upset tummy so warm water really helped us. We were not expecting the room to be serviced however they did.
