Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The location and homeless around the area is a bit alarming.
The room was clean, not sure why the price was inflated for one night with surrounding dates $25‐50 per night less. We had a handicapped room, and it came with a recliner, great for my grandma.

Views/proximity to gas station.
Happy to report this place exceeded expectations. The place was clean and felt hospitable. The sheets were nice and the breakfast was great. Nothing fancy here but it’s a great value hotel.

There could be more pictures in the room. It almost felt like a hospital room, but brown instead of white. Also, the volume down button on our TV remote wouldn't work so it was hard to watch TV.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool hours were awesome. Breakfast was outstanding...lots of variety, constantly stocked! It was all around great!

The boy in the reception knew that there were street works in front of the hotel and they did not say and the room was in front of the noisy street, the reception girl at the end changed our room to the back with less noise

It was just a little older than I expected, and I prefer hallways instead of coming in from an outside door.

A few more pillows and bath towels. Parking near to our room was limited.
Breakfast selection was good. Grounds were nicely kept. Close to downtown activities. Sound proofed very well. No road noise or doors slamming from other guests.

Room has must smell but better after windows left open. Location was industrial area and no easy places to walk to .
.Comfortable bed and good shower. Breakfast and dining area was kept clean. Breakfast offered a better hot meal choices than some of the standard breakfast fare..

-The wifi did not reliably work in our room. The only way it kept connected was to go into the lobby. This really does need to be fixed for people like us who are keeping up with business/work while on the road! -Out of 5 hotels we stayed at during a 12 day trip, the desk personnel were the least out-going, friendly, but they did their job well. -The outside sidewalks really need a power wash! All rooms have outside entrances and it really looks and feels dirty walking around the building outside!
-Room size is definitely larger than average for a double queen. Very Nice. -Nice large lobby area that always open with coffee available. This was the best area to reliably use wifi. -Swimming pool was decent - easy to access and not too busy both days we were there. -Great shower - hooray. -Good hot breakfast, though fairly general for hotels. -Comfortable beds, reliable air-conditioning and airflow in the room -We like rooms that have sinks outside of the bathroom like this one!

Gas station and shopping area.
Modern fully furnished room with fridge, microwave and coffee maker, spacious. A working and fairly quiet air conditioner. Very good working wifi. Good choice for breakfast, including hot food. Friendly staff. Swimming pool.
