Did not know it was on the 3rd floor and the hall way stairs would be so small and not easy to navigate. Though mostly clean, Could have been a little bit cleaner (ex microwave not cleaned, drawers not wiped out, and tile walls could use a good cleaning in bathroom and kitchen but all else was good. Succulent plant in kitchen was VERY dusty.

I disliked the cleanliness of my apartment, the holes in the window screen which let flies in and the lack of replenished supplies. In the kitchen: There was food and matter left on the stove range from other guests. The kitchen stove range should have been cleaned. There was a used roll of paper towels, a used sponge in the cupboard, the dishwashing liquid and hand soap were not refilled. In the bathroom: there was 1/4 roll of used toilet paper upon arrival, the bathtub surface was worn and looked dirty. In the sleeping area I found sand on the bedsheets and a few stains, the Wi fi on the TV wasn’t working, the furniture needed to be dusted and the doors cleaned. There was a layer of dust and stuff spilled on the cabinet doors and walls. I have stayed in many units before and never had these problems before - this time I stayed in apartment 8- it needs to be cleaned and updated. Check in time is at 4pm which is very late and does not give guests access to beach badges until they are no longer needed. Check in time should be earlier or guests should be allowed to use beach badges prior to check in time. The meticulous cleaning standards which are outlined as reason for late check in are not being adhered to.

I liked the proximity to main street and the beach.

I didn't like that my check-in wasn't available at 3: 00pm.. I understand it was due to circumstances beyond her control, but not being able to check until 5:00 p.m. really is not acceptable. Yes I was told I could have a late check out on Monday but unfortunately that did not work for me. Had something else been done, maybe like a handwritten note with a $20 gift certificate to breakfast the next morning would have made all the difference. Also I was told there would be two beach badges available. I had to call and ask to get them. I assumed that they would be in the apt. Even if I had been able to check in at 3:00 p.m. there still weren't any beach badges for me to use to go to the beach on Saturday as well. It was memorial Day weekend the start of beach season and there should have been badges there in the apartment.

I like the location. Very close to the beach and very close to Asbury.

The layout was difficult in Apt. 1 and the bathroom was very small.

We rented several apartments which worked perfectly for my extended family since we could each have our own space for meal prep and different schedules. It was nice to gather on the porch or in the larger apartment. The host, Danielle, was thoughtful and helpful. She even surprised us with vegan donuts for a family member who was vegan!

This is not a huge complaint but just be aware that it is a walk up for inside apartments. The stairs could be a challenge for some. that being said, I am 68 and I did fine.

while I did not meet staff, rental was easy. the outside looks quaint and the apartment was very clean even if not modern. the bed was incredibly comfortable and the towels and linens spectacular.

Facility is in disrepair. The bathroom tub needs more non skid materials to prevent falls as well as a bar that has been removed. My wife fell while taking a shower. On our third day the water was shut off due to a water leak. We were notified by email.

I have a few mobility issues, so had been hoping....... We knew we were on the second floor and while I can usually "do steps," these steps were very difficult. The risers were higher than normal in a few places - not all the same - and that made life difficult for me. We had a kitchen, TV area, small bedroom, huge shower/dressing room area, and small separate toilet/sink. There was a sofa in the TV area and a bed in the bedroom. Nowhere was there a chair. There were also two nightstands and a bureau in the bedroom. The bed was okay for my husband, but soft for me. The apt. was clean and there were enough utensils and appliances in the kitchen. We had been receiving emails before arrival, describing payment, and door codes. We never saw the owners. We had been given a phone number to call if we needed to speak, but it didn't work. When we needed an extra blanket, a full-time resident helped us. Apparently, there was an email address for contact after arrival, but it hadn't been listed in any of the emails we received before arrival, and replying to any of those didn't work either. We later saw that email address on a sign in the lobby, but didn't try it as the resident had already helped us. Again, we were there during off-season and that may have made a difference. My husband would return as he didn't have the issues I did. Compared to other places we looked at, the price was very good.

The location was perfect for us. The Allenhurst is only a few blocks from Ocean Grove's boardwalk, a few blocks from the famed Auditorium and the tent city, and a few blocks from downtown. A grocery store was around the corner. We always found on-street parking, but it was off-season. We liked having a kitchen available, and a free washing machine/dryer was just down the hall.

I never got an email with a form to fill out to get the key code. A lovely tennant helped me. Her name is Kerri. She called Danielle and Danielle came over to help me. She was also lovely. If I hadn’t ran into Kerri, not sure how I would have gotten in. The number on the receipt email did not respond to my calls.

There was black mold , the sheets were not clean, the stove was disgusting, the door didn’t not close properly so it was not safe plus had a beaming light peaking through the door there is no way to contact the host except via email and they are not responsive. Over all terrible stay in fact we ended up leaving and did not stay bc of how unsanitary and unsafe it was

I had to make a phone call to understand how the code I received worked. Once I got that information (which I expect is intuitive to anyone under 55 years old} the process was simple, easy and very efficient!

This didn't bother me too much but some people might not like that the hallways aren't renovated - but they were very clean.

Great location: very close to the beach/boardwalk & walking distance to Asbury Park. Many options for parking. Clean room & kitchen, good shower pressure, Keriug coffeemaker. Good value.

We love the location. Beautiful architecture in the neighborhood, only a block from the beach, park close by for the dog, and wonderful shops and restaurants a short walk away. The hosts are very friendly and helpf7l.

When they were called..no answer.not able to leave message about bathroom door or that I had to clean the floor..futon not sleepable ..was told to leave instead of fixing the prob..but instead left for the next persons..at least could have paid my medical bill..I will be looking into that. Embarrassing, humiliating urinating in front of others...

Stayed before was very disappointed this time..floors sandy..crunchy when walked on. Bathroom door was destroyed not able to close.. paint scratches around door and floor where door was obviously not able to close..insides of door hanging out. Reported immediately...then another 7 times texted/emailed. Had to use bathroom with door wide open door closure right in front of toilet. Very embarrassing and humiliation. Bed was on right of open door..could hear/see/use of bathroom toilet. My guest left of embarrassment. I was informed to leave and they would refund my $$ was a 4 hr ride back home..Was obviously looking for another place on arrival and even walked to a few that I knew..but no openings. Someone came but obviously needed new door..I was not given a partial refund..just told to leave. The door was left as is for the next paid patron. Futon was not in any cond. to sleeping on or even sit. Food behind heaters in kitchen..I fell down the entrance steps..no landing..went to a Medimerge in Pt Pleasant..Do not stay in room #4.

Room advertised two beds. But actually there was only one bed and one very uncomfortable pull down futon sofa. There was a leaking heater spilling water all over the floor and overflowing the dish they kept there to collect the water. The AC had black mold growing in it, which gave me a cough and respiratory issues as I have asthma and am allergic to mold. We were locked out of the building on our last night because the door batter died. We contacted management and were told “it is late, not sure if we can get anyone out there.” Only got back in because someone else was coming out. We contacted management about all these issues and just got a “sorry you are disappointed” no offer to remedy or change rooms. I feel taken advantage of and this place was not worth the nightly cost.

This is a nice property and location. Amenities are great - kitchen, with laundry rooms, extra bathrooms in common areas.
