Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaOur room, 103, was connected to another room, if needed for a family I suppose, via a locked door. But we could hear the conversation of the people next door, so the sound insulation was bad. We were told that there would be hot coffee throughout the day, but this didn't turn out to be true. Sometimes there was, and many times there wasn't. The staff could have been friendlier too. I don't think anyone ever smiled.
The cooked to order breakfast was great. The location was a walk to everywhere in town one, yet on a quiet street. If the hotel was full, it seemed as though there may not be enough parking for everyone. Luckily, when we were there this was not a problem. But since overnight parking on the street is not permitted, I don't know where one would park if the hotel lot was full.

United States of AmericaMy only complaint is the room… The pictures online are very deceiving, the room looked nothing like them. The room was so small it made it uncomfortable. There was also no air conditioning or fan, so the room got VERY hot at night even with it being below freezing outside. We had to keep the window open, which I was skeptical about because we were on the first floor and there was no window screen.
The Alpine House was in a great location in town. You can easily walk to many restaurants and shops nearby. The breakfast was also a plus. It was good and had lots of options. We also liked that they offered coffee and tea all day. The staff was very nice and accommodating!

United States of AmericaSome of fresh fruit was old, other fruit not ripe.
Eggs were made to order, and done nicely, quick service, English muffin or bagel, 4 kinds of juice available. Fireplace and library room were fantastic! Building is older than anticipated so narrow hallways, but heater in room worked quietly and well.

Belgiumthe door to our room wouldn't lock at arrival, and it took over 24 hours to solve. No fridge and no safe in the room. Rather expensive for a regular room.
Nice situation within walking distances from downtown and main city activities. Great breakfast cooked on the spot. Nice staff ready to help.

Czech Republicno staff in the hotel for check in, just a message to call a number that no one answered, finally had to drive to another hotel to talk to the receptionist who works at three facilities at the same time. Room is a bit spartan and super small.

United States of AmericaThe water pressure and temperature for the shower were low. I'd prefer a warmer shower and bath. The room room rate was high, though the staff did an excellent job with housekeeping and cooking. The ally behind the house was noisy, especially with the early morning garbage pickup one day.
The house boasts a large dining area, porch, and small library with comfortable seating. Our room was upstairs and we enjoyed the quiet nights, coffee and tea downstairs, and full breakfast offerings. Our bed was comfortable and we could control the room temperature. The two chairs were comfy too. The parking was great too, and we were only 10 minutes from Grand Teton National Park.

United States of AmericaNo top sheet, just the comforter cover, so it was either hot or no bedding on top. I like having a coffee maker in the room so that I don't have to get dressed to go get a cup of coffee.
Breakfast was very good with tables set, etc. with good service. Parking was easy and close. The manager was very attentive. The little library was nice to have. Our room was very quiet

United States of AmericaMy room advertised as balcony and fireplace was misleading. The fireplace was turned off "summer" time though it was end of May and snowing outside. My balcony did not exist. Just a door opening to a railing.
Location was fantastic and breakfast was a nice addition. The hotel is warm and feels welcoming.
