Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaHomeless people yelled all night long. Guess that’s why they gave us ear plugs. I felt bad for the security guard because as we were pulling in we saw him ask one lady to leave the property and she started chucking her trash at him.
The hotel and staff were excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff working reception. The property felt safe because you have to key in everywhere. The room was way bigger than expected. The rooftop pool had really nice views of downtown.

United States of AmericaThe restaurants weren’t open, one of the tables was sticky and gross feeling and remote control didn’t work. And we arrived at 3 for check in and our room wasn’t ready yet.

United States of AmericaMy first set of towels were dirty. I was not told about the additional $200 hold either. The parking was trash and my car got hit on the lot in the middle of the night.

GuamLobby area could use some cleaning since it smelled musty, but then it could be because it wasn't busy or no one was around. The rooftop top bar was not worth visiting. Pool is 3'5" deep and small. Lounge chairs could use some cleaning or replacement. Cable television wasn't working during my stay, and the laundry service was unavailable.
My room was very clean. Spacious, both room and bathroom. AC was cold, and hot water was HOT. The complimentary water bottles and coffee (keurig) were greatly appreciated. The morning staff when I arrived were extremely friendly and professional. The evening, not so much. The gym was clean, with new equipment. Please note that room service will not clean your room unless you place the tag on your door, which is quite the opposite of most hotels.

United States of AmericaThe hotel seemed understaffed at times but the staff who were present were very helpful and attentive. When we first arrived, the lobby was completely empty and we wandered in a circle trying to find someone to check us in. The sole desk agent was also the valet and had gone to park a car. There was no restaurant. It appeared to have closed permanently which was a bit disappointing and did not seem to be reflected on the website which made it sound like it was functioning. The street out front of the hotel was very noisy at night which was not the hotel's fault but something to be aware of. Cars drag race up and down that road. There were ear plugs left on the desk when we got to the room and I quickly realized the reason why.
The style of the hotel is great--lovely art deco and lots of history. The rooms were a decent size and had a nice vibe. The roof top pool has an amazing view and there are lots of restaurants and attractions nearby that make this an easy base from which to explore the city.

United States of AmericaIt's nice, but the parking services would grant them a 10. I got robbed (car break-in) in a nearby parking lot that I was using since their PL was 40/day (60/day multiple entries) which is excessive.
It's cozy and very well organized, with beautiful furniture.

GermanyIn the middle of the night my fire alarm went off and I had to move rooms at 0130 in the morning. I was exhausted and tired. I had no help dragging my bags from the 4th floor to the 8th, and in the midst of this, I am pretty sure I lost a large euro bill (100€ about 120 $) I didn't notice it until I went to check out and my bill was gone. Always lock your stuff in a safe. Don't be like me
Excellent location. You can walk literally anywhere in less than 20 mins. The check-in and valet service were great.

United States of America-Cleaning of rooms was a little haphazard, it didn't always happen even if my "please clean my room" sign was up -This is not the hotel's fault, but parking is $30/day in that area of STL, which does add up if you're budgeting
-There is someone at the front desk 24/7, which is wonderful. Everyone I talked to up front (either in person or on the phone) was super helpful and friendly. -The rooms were VERY cool, the whole vibe of the place was great

United States of AmericaThe restaurant was closed for renovations, but that was not indicated on the website when booking, and there are not a ton of food choices in the immediate area.
The Last Hotel is a very cool historic property, the renovations are well done, while keeping the charm of the original building. Our room was spacious and lovely.

United States of AmericaThey don’t tell you there is no parking. It’s $40 for valet to put it in a garage. Only option is street/public parking, not a good idea. It was worth it valet was an extremely nice guy but wasn’t expecting the cost.

United States of AmericaThe building is older and definitely shows its age in some areas. However, all guest rooms are fully renovated. The only suggestion I have is to renovate some of the flooring and ceilings.
The area is a bit sketchy, but I like the security of the hotel. The doors lock after hours and require a keycard to get in. Elevators are also secured, protecting guest floors. This is a hotel you can definitely feel safe in while staying in Downtown St. Louis!
