Inadequate breakfast items. When they ran out of eggs, etc they didn’t refill them. If you came down for breakfast after 8:30am there was very little left.

It was convenient for the Brooklyn Cruise Pier. I slept well on the bed. The room was quiet and clean.

No breakfast / black teabags! Had to buy my own. Water for tea or coffee not hot enough. Kettle would be useful in room. Fridge in room very noisy! (But these were minor issues …)

Large room, big beds, clean, good shower. Plenty of breakfast options. Close to good restaurants on Van Brunt. Staff were very friendly.

The place around the lodge is too quiet and food is over in all places by 9. Also, the commute to the hotel is too long from the Brooklyn Bridge.

I wouldn't characterize this as something I "didn't like", but I would have liked to have turkey and/or beef sausage and apple and/or cranberry juices in lieu of the grapefruit juice. Also, the concierge should inform guests that they need to provide their room number to the kitchen staff upon arrival for breakfast.

The property is well kept, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the television had several cable channels, private parking is available for a fee, the staff was pleasant, especially the concierge Roy who was very accommodating. My husband and I stayed here for his birthday on Sunday night, May 12 through Monday, May 13. We tried to extend our stay but it was sold out for the next three nights. We found other accommodations during the week but I made sure to book again on Thursday, May 16. The deal-maker for me was the FREE breakfast. The breakfast options were amazing. It wasn't your typical continental breakfast. It was more like an "international breakfast" - a hot buffet of scrambled eggs, sausage (pork), potatoes, there were pre-made sandwiches as well as "make your own", quiches, croissants, pastries, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice, tea, coffee aka "THE WORKS" and everything tasted good!! I will definitely refer The Lodge to family and friends.

You know it before you book it but it is definitely a bit far from any good transportation (15/20 min walk from the nearest metro station). You have a bus stop close but it takes some time to reach downtown BK depending on the traffic. The ferry has a strange timetalbe so not super useful. The breakfast room needs to be bigger, and one additionnal staff member wouldn´t be a luxury to handle the many guests of the hotel.

Good quality for the price considering NYC rates The room was big and comfortable Breakfast was good Staff was ok especially the lady responsible for the breakfast Cleaning was good, probably improved regarding the previous comments

More shower pressure would sure be nice at hotels, but I should not complain because that is almost everywhere that it is weak.

Breakfast was great! I am a plant based gf person so nice to have some food there for me. Nice fresh food. The bed was really comfy and room was clean.

It was not possible to get an invoice directly at the hotel, so I wrote an email to the designated person. They couldn't put the correct address on the invoice (as a public institution employee, I assure you, it's extremely important, especially in Poland), saying that they can't change it, because I booked via booking and I have different address there. I understand that they have automatic integrated system for the invoices but if someone asks emphasising its importance, and if you can't do it on your own, it's always possible to ask an accountant! Now I'm not sure if I will be reimbursed for my business trip... I asked a few times, but they repeatedly denied help. It has never happened to me before. Moreover, room was not sound-proof whatsoever, I could hear everything (even while wearing the earplugs) especially during the breakfast time - my room was very close to the dining area.

Staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful, room was clean and decent. I really recommend this place if you want to see something authentic. I spent a few days in Manhattan, then moved to Red Hook and I was charmed by its energy and peace. It is really eccentric but cozy. You can eat amazing lobster roll nearby, just walk around or sit looking at the water sipping a bear.
