HUGE miscommunication at the reception - at the time of check-in: We were told by the receptionist that we have the option to have breakfast (which was already included when we booked the room) or order “room service” for the value of $42 per person every day. This was communicated by the same person “TWICE” so there was no “misunderstanding” but an error from her side which cost us additional $200 at the time of check-out as she clearly didn’t mention this credit is only toward our breakfast!!!!! she repeated “credit for room service every day”…….two times when we asked to reconfirm, as she was not When we explained the case to the manager she was reluctant to even listen and said we can’t make exception (which was an irrelevant point as noone asked for an exception!!!!) We spent thousands at this hotel during our 4 nights stay…. so this reluctant attitude from the manager (blond lady with not an American accent) was not appropriated…Pierre can do much better training the staff at this hotel. quite disappointed…

It is not a non smoking hotel so we were originally placed in a floor where residents can smoke. Manager was very accommodating and moved us to a different floor but we were already staying in the hotel for a week before we moved to different floor.

Our room AC was broken and in the summer months that is unacceptable. And we were not offered a different room or any remedy for our uncomfortable situation The heat ruined our stay We had an issue with our shower that was fixed relatively quickly by maintenance.

The location is incredible. The check in and valet was great. The lobby bar & staff felt like a true classy NYc experience

the car garage that was associated with the Hotel, we did not feel cared for and felt the other guests were tended to before us.

The front desk staff was professional and pleasant. the bellmen were helpful and polite. the elevator attendants were simple expectational, they remembered names and things we’d mentioned the we were doing the previous day. the housekeeping staff was truly remarkable. everything was pristine. the room was tended to twice daily and we felt like royalty. we missed Mr. Dancer from the concierge desk this trip. However, Christine was particularly helpful and kind. we were greeted daily by staff all around the hotel and truly enjoyed our stay.

They charged 34 dollars for using the gym and “free “ coffee in the morning No tea and coffee facility in rooms,they would have charged 90 dollars exrra for a tray

The room service however was very slow. Breakfast ordered at room at 6.40 arrived at 7.10 the first day and the same happened the second. Both orders were not as put and things e.g. brown bread or a second cup were missing. They have explained that they face personnel shortage however it was not an adequate excuse for such a hotel and price.

An excellent hotel with a true sense of how hotels should be and how hoteliers should behave. The location is superb, beds are very comfortable, personnel is well trained and polite. Only problem was the room service

the breakfast is the very bad point we had breakfast 1 time and not again ! very poor choice with the continental even no fruits, no yogourt, no jam or honey, no bread. never seen that anywhere for that kind of amount of money ! just cross the street, go to the Plaza and for the same price you will have a palace breakfast. no turndown in the evening, not even towels change during all day. due to covid bar was closed so no life, nowhere to sit and talk downstairs or have just a coffee

the recommendation for lunch on our last day from the concierge wasn’t great … was booked in the wrong name and had to chase twice for booking details and restaurant was not good … Also the buffet breakfast on the Saturday was not good , scrambled eggs a strange green colour and very dry and crusty .
