Wanted massages there, but as we only stayed one night, there was no openings. Was a little disappointed we didn't get to enjoy all of that. The whole reason for the trip was to relax.

Desiree, the pool waitress, brought us our drinks, and instead of her saying, "Would you like to close your tab or leave it open?" She said, "I am keeping your card." My family and I thought that was so unprofessional. The water temperature for the pool was hot. It's was like a hot tub. We told the front desk, and we were told it had been like that for two weeks. Also, another guest had complained before us.

San Luis is a very nice resort to relax.

The room was shabby and needs updating! The wrist band room key system is ridiculous, as was the no cash policy, which made tipping difficult.

However our view from the 5th floor are partially blocked, I would recommend staying from the 6th floor upward.

The heated pool and the short walk to the beach are the big plus++

Steep walkway——too steep for walker/wheelchair use

I was disappointed that the cable service did not have sports channel. Our place was to have room service and watch our Astro team on the Friday night. Could not believe this was not available being so close to Houston

They asked me is I was self parking but didn't give me a pass for my car, I could have been towed. I also do not like the wrist bands for the pool. It makes it feel like prison and if you loose it they will not give you another one. Also when you wear it in public you are open to EVERYONE knowing where your staying and could make you be in danger of getting mugged or your car broke into. This is not acceptable for a high paying hotel to treat you like a child because they can not handle people from the street walking in.

The walls were pretty thin. Since most families are with little kids you could hear kids crying screaming etc… sometimes late into the night. You could hear doors banging. Wish there was a little more noise reduction/insulation. Otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We had to change rooms because of bugs. The room we moved to had a VERY LOUD air conditioner; it must have needed servicing or to be replaced.

The view is always EXCELLENT from the hotel and we had a birthday dinner at The Steakhouse and the experience was amazing!!! I will stay at the hotel again just for the restaurant; that is how much we enjoyed dining there.

The hotel pool bar requires ID to order alcohol. You can’t just use the wristband they give you to charge drink to your room. If they are concerned with serving drinks to people that aren’t of age, make the wristbands color coordinated for people under and over 21, so they can be identified and not have to bring identification to the pool.

Location is right on the Seawall with options for Oceanside view rooms.

it needs a few updates. The door to the bathroom did not work. several of the TV channels did not work. The business center printer did not work.

I liked the location being near the beach. The views were fantastic. we are at the restaurants on site and they were all very good.
