Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Very few patrons, yet we were in a room with someone above us who decided to move furniture, dance, and drop numerous large items on their floor (our ceiling) till the wee hours of the morning. Also, the TV did not work.

Door needs to be adjusted - it lets in a lot of cold air. Had to stuff tissue in lower half of door, to stop large draft.

My room had a somewhat clogged sink and the flooring in the bathroom was stained from age and lifting around the tub. Can't exactly complain for the price.
Staff was friendly, room was as clean as it could be and the bed was comfy. Even though it's right next to the freeway didn't hear the traffic too badly. Checking in was simple and quick.

The bed and broken ice machine
Appears to be getting remodeled. Bathroom was nice, counter was clean and the vinyl floor was new. The bed was very old. You rolled to the center.

Update on inside the rooms. The curtains were all sun rot. Light bulbs were missing, just needed updating. Coach was old and worn.
There was not a breakfast. I saw coffee and that’s about it. The secretary was nice the older lady but the younger one seemed to be on something.

Ice machine was broken. We had a room that was in the middle and the stairs were only in the far corners.
The location was pet frienly, rooms were available last minute even though it was a long weekend.

Area around the motel was smelly when we arrived - likely a livestock truck parked at the nearby gas station???? Was better in the morning!
No carpet in pet-friendly room! Our dog is a marker, and she did not mark once in our stay! Thank you for taking out the carpets, so pet smells are not stored in the room! Loved the piece of mind we experienced during our stay!

The only thing missing was a coffee pot. The area was creepy.

The location was terrible. It was tucked in an area where there were a bunch of trucks parked all around. The room was bare minimal: only a couple of bath towels, no hand towels, no soap in the bathroom, and the shampoo and conditioner had already been used by previous guest. In addition, not enough pillows, and no coffee machine in room.

Construction around lodge which made it hard to get to. Limited restaurants around. Toilet seat was too small for the toilet. Beds were too hard.
We paid extra for the renovated units. This probably was a little nicer in some ways.

Off the interstate behind a gas station, felt a bit run down and I had someone’s hair in the sink! My feet were dirty after walking barefoot, doesn’t seem to be cleaned properly after each guest. Walls are super thin, other guests were super loud during the night!
The receptionist was very friendly, hotel was easy to find

Staffperson was a little odd during check-in, ice machine out of order (during heatwave), window was open so heatpump ineffective until we realised. Odd location (surrounded by abandoned buildings) with no instructions of how to access the location via a "closed' road though we figured it out quickly enough.

There was no good place set aside for our dog to walk. While clean and fresh, the bud was very soft and my wife’s back ached in the morning. We had to drive five miles to get dinner and breakfast.
Lynn was a great host. The hotel was on the highway we were on so no lost time. The air conditioner worked.
