Hot water not hot enough. Smelled like cigarette smoke in hallway. Carpet was dirty looking. No ironing board. No continental breakfast except for a boxed lunch. Two red neck guys sitting out front on the bench swearing. We stayed at the Clarion in Knoxville Tennessee and it was great. That was why I chose Clarion in Williamsburg VA when I booked online. Big mistake.

Very dirty room - found the room in the condition as you see in the pictures Called front office and he said call management on Monday and then the email for review came through so using this platform to complain. A refund should be granted. Will not choose this location again.

I didn’t like anything

This hotel looked nothing like it did on the website. It was dirty and run down. I was very disappointed. Will never stay there again. Poor quality and should be condemned.

Thresholds at every entrance were worn out with bare wood and no paint, walls in corridors badly scraped, luggage carts were near impossible to push and pull and were in need of attention to update them, major amounts of trash on the premises, guests who appeared to be construction workers (4) were lying around on the concrete and the embankment near the side entrance Clarion staff

The only thing good about this hotel is the room was clean. The hallways were very worn out from the carpeting to the walls to the door frames and doors. The elevator we used had an expired inspection date and was outdated as well. One of the rooms just inside the rear entrance must have been infested with either bed bugs or fleas as towels were rolled up on the floor against the bottom of the door in an attempt to keep things in and white powder was on the floor. Hallways smelled bad and carpet was dirty. Staff was friendly. A brochure in the room boasted fresh coffee in lobby 24 hours a day but there was none due to Covid. Was absolutely not worth the $180 for the night. Also, there is a bar and restaurant in the hotel so if you have pets to let out during the night or in coming and going you’ll have to deal with drinkers at either entrance having a smoke.

The hotel was very run down. The hallways had trash stored in view of the guests. The hallways had not been vacuumed. The hair dryer didn’t work. Curtains had holes and couldn’t be closed all the way.

When I arrived at 3 PM, I was originally told that a room was not ready. The front desk associate then told me she was able to find one. However, the beds were not made. I was able to be moved to another room. Breakfast was bad, just a bottled water, apple, and some pastry. The door on the side opened to anyone and did not require a key to be unlocked. People in the room next to me were shouting throughout the night until an employee told them to stop. Wallpaper is not placed on the walls correctly. I guess I got what I paid for, it was the cheapest hotel in the area.

The Entrance to the hotel smelled like smoke as they allow for people to smoke just outside the entrance, however, the hallways smelled like cigarettes. The room was not very clean, the telephone did not work properly and it was dirty. The AC did not work properly therefore it was hot.

We didn't get a chance to eat breakfast.

The hotel smelled. The carpet was dirty. The wall paper was peeling and held up by staplers. The linen wasn’t clean. The microwave and refrigerator unit was dusty. The pool lining was visibly dirty and white wash clothes had red spots on them. There was a water leak in the lobby when we arrived and being caught by a trash can. The room door latch was broken. I called for fresh linen and waited for 45 minutes and called a second time and waited 15 minutes. My husband and I wanted a romantic getaway so we chose this hotel because of its location. This was my first time staying in a Clarion Hotel and it was terrible. There was even another guest complaining about the fire alarm going off two nights straight and the lack of sleep they had on the hotel. Much improvement needs to be made.

This has to be the worst sewer pit ever It’s like they go out of the way to make this place smell so bad. Read other reviews Room AC did not work Staff said he’s done his shift soon so tell the next person Checked in 11 pm 1:00 am me and grandson dragged all our belongings and as the man said bring the towels I don’t have any more A cart that clearly belongs in the trash we struggled to get everything and left 4 th floor for the dungeon on first floor. No coffee maker. No phone and we got Lysol from the car to clean this God awful filthy place Holes in bathroom wall and stunk of cigarette smoke. Being allergic I coughed the whole time and felt like I couldn’t breathe. Never slept. This morning my eyes are puffy and throat sore from cigarette smoke. Asked for manager and told there’s none I DEMAND MY MONEY! Every penny. A couple told me they were moved three times already How can these people take over $160 my money and not able to use the room Complaint being filed with state attorney general office and if I must I will sue in small claims for my money Every Wyndham property no matter how old was clean and always friendly Choice Hotels must be investigated I hope no one goes to this filthy smelly place

The outdoor pool had broken steps to get in & no way to get out. The indoor pool was freezing cold. Shouldn't advertise them, that's false advertising. Only had a couple of outlets in the room. Half the light bulbs were out. The toilet didn't flush right & made a very loud noise. The wallpaper in the bathroom is peeling off. There's a hole in the bathroom ceiling that never got fixed. Cobwebs in just about every corner. The room hadn't been dusted. The hallways were filthy & stunk. The outside door on the side of the building is broken so anyone off the street can just walk in. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone & will never ever stay there again. It was a waste of money. For the rates they charge are too high. Crappy hotel. Oh & the lady at the front desk is extremely rude. She shouldn't be working there.

One of our rooms had ants invading the air conditioner the other rooms bathroom smelled like rotten meat. The hotel has fleas and the pool was closed because the steps on both ladders were broken. This was the worse hotel I ever stayed at it was awful and disgusting!

I forgot my eyeglasses and I did multiple phone calls with negative results. So I went back in there to get an answer. The answer was nobody saw my eyeglasses , and the housekeeper didn’t return it. The room was dingy and very dirty. We stay two nights, the room was not cleaned and they did t provide us clean towels.

Bad smell when we entered. Smelled like dead rodents to me. I like dogs but don't like barking dogs in a room near my hotel room.. My sister in law had a bathroom in which neither the sink or the tub drained water; necessitating her to change her room.

When we arrived to our room had to ask for toilet paper and ice bucket. Was asked if I had anything they could put ice in for me I said no that is why I was asking for a bucket.. I was told they would have to bring me a ice bucket. I never got one. Took a bag next night to get ice and machines were down The place needs a good cleaning.
