Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSomewhat dated spaces.
Excellent central location, very close to the metro station. Convenient independent check in process. One of the best places on value for money in the area.

MexicoIt was unusually hot in late October and they had turned off the AC. Uncomfortable for a few of days but they quickly provided us a stand fan. Also our room was in the rear above a noisy alley. Try to avoid those rooms.
Everything was fairly new. Very efficient using the Sonder app for everything. Good variety of food choices nearby. The kitchen was handy and the laundry on every floor (first load free). 15-minute loading zone on the street was helpful. Attentive staff communication.

United States of AmericaHeating/cooling didn't work properly - apartment was very hot when I arrived, tried to cool but only blowing hot air. Could open the window but very loud outside (mechanical systems running just outside the window. The apartment building itself is not in great shape. The Sonder online system is very annoying - it sends frequent reminders to check in weeks and weeks before arrival, it sent the wrong check in information, then sent another but did not indicate which was the right one. Then continues to send emails over and over following the stay.
Apartment kitchen was well appointed, location was great. Other furnishing were nice, a bit spare.

United States of AmericaIt is annoying that you're not supposed to be able to use the lobby until the 4pm check in time, which is quite late. I was fortunate to have some folks let me in so I could wait in the lobby until I could check into my room since I didn't want to wander around the city with all of my luggage.
Clean and comfortable rooms with a convenient kitchenette.

United States of AmericaI was not able to get electronic/hands free unlocking on the door to work - but truth be told, I only tried once. It was fine manually entering the code to unlock the door. Lighting was a little dim at the door to see the code pad well. I was told the code we put into the storage lockers would work for the front door, but ours did not work and someone had to let us in. Also the handicap locker-lock was broken.
I was 5 blocks from a trader joes - a bit of a walk, but did not mind. It was easy enough to get there and back (took a backpack to carry groceries). The apt. allowed us to eat some of our meals and breakfast before leaving. We were also able to do laundry before during our stay, so bringing less worked out. Laundry was on an app, but easy to use. We were only a few blocks from the White House, which was nice, and only 1.5 blocks or so from the nearest subway station - actually two stations were close.

New ZealandThe bed, whilst large and clean was sagging in the middle, worst case of 'roll-together' I've experienced in ages. I asked for the kitchen faucet to be fixed, never happened! The keypads to enter the code into were ok on the room doors but took some pretty heavy pressing to register the numbers on the elevators and the front door, having 8 character codes is a bit over the top. By the time you punched them in the elevator had gone past the floor that we wanted!
The location was great. The room was spacious, plenty of room for everything, certainly better than some hotels I have stayed at. It was only a 8 minute walk to the White House and National Mall, so close to a lot of attractions.

FranceFor the rating, you need the "not applicable" option for rating staff since you don't actually deal with any staff. It would be very useful to have a dresser in the room or a piece of furniture for clothes. The hallways and entrance way could be cleaner.

United States of AmericaOnly problem I had was that -- given the location of the bed -- the microwave light (clock) was directly in line with my head on the pillow. I am a very light sleeper and need a very dark room at night. I had to suspend a towel from the cabinet over the microwave to dim the light so I could sleep.
Kitchenette was very helpful!

United States of AmericaYou need to get a laundry app to use the washer/dryer. This was somewhat of a challenge if you don't use lots of apps! However, once we got the app, the washing procedure was easy. This should be stated in the room guide/instructions. Lighting in the bedroom could be a lot better. Checking in: At times the code doesn't work with the first or second attempt. We found if you input the code quickly it works on the first attempt.
The room was actually a studio apartment. We expected a small kitchenette, but we had a full, modern kitchen. It had all the necessary utensils, nice dishes and other amenities. The bed was very comfortable. We liked the open area between the hall and bathroom where the ironing board, and open closet with plenty of clothes hangers, plus a nice sized mirror were available. The bedroom was nice, ample size, clean & comfortable. Plenty of electrical connectors are available. The lighting was not enough around the bed, more raised lights would be better for reading. Nice mirrors throughout the space. Location was excellent. Very nice Peruvian fusion restaurant right next to Sonder. This made a huge difference because restaurants close earlier in the downtown area. Gregory's coffee within one & two blocks, plus a Pete's coffee on 17th. A huge plus are having the Metro stations very close by. You can easily get to the IAD airport (49 mims + walking to Gates, total 1hr & 15 mins to be safe), and major tourist sights. There's a Nordstrom Rack about a block away, very convenient if you need to purchase clothing to adjust to the weather. We felt very safe walking from the metro to the hotel even late at night.

United Arab EmiratesThe tap water had a strange taste (I didn't like the after taste using the tap water even for brushing only). There is a filtered water provided but I had to go down every time and also there was no pitcher in the kitchen.
Location is amazing, really close to at least 2 metro stops and bus stops. Area feels safe although I never really went out very late. Quite close to coffee shops and other retails stores. I also remembered walking from there to White house and its just 20-30 minutes away by walking. I like that the studio with kitchen had complete equipment to actually cook - which I normally do when I travel. Also, they left ground coffee packets to make your own brewed coffee. The room size is big and complete with typical hotel stuff (e.g. iron, iron board, hair dryer) so I didn't need to request like in other smaller chains.

AustraliaLighting in room could be improved, especially over the breakfast bar.
Excellent location, within short walking distance to two Metro stations and other public transport options. That made all major tourist attractions (National Mall, Smithsonians, Arlington, Congress, Georgetown) easy to get to. Well equipped kitchen (Trader Joe's nearby - 15-20 mins by foot). Quiet, safe neighbourhood with eating-out options handy (one, very popular, right next door). Good-sized room meant a very comfortable stay (one week) and can recommend this accommodation.

United States of AmericaSpacious accessible bathroom but outside shower area gets completely wet. Shower cleanliness could have been a little better. Punching in the code in the main entrance, elevator, and room door is a bit tedious and annoying. An app with a unique QR code or proximity sensor would make more sense.
Location, room size (304), decoration, cost benefit, and complete kitchen were huge pluses.

The location was great! There were city bikes that you could rent and get around the city. I liked having a kitchen!
