Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MoldovaYou have to introduce a code 3 times to enter your room ( at entrance, in elevator, at your room). And the code box is not a user friendly one. Wasting of time.
It has a good location and spacious room.

AustraliaGaining access to the property was difficult at times as the access code didn’t always work. Also unlike our friends’ bathroom ours was missing shelves (they had been removed) so there was nowhere to store our toiletries. We were in room 409.
The location. It wasn’t too far to The White House and there is a subway station a short walk away. The property was clean and well maintained with access to extra towels etc if you needed them.

GermanyThe property is great, but for my taste a little too much noise.
The room was spacious with a nice kitchenette, a bathroom and space for clothes. The kitchen is well equipped for a short stay. There are several washing machines and dryers in the building. The bed was really comfortable.

United KingdomThe room decor is a bit spartan (aside from the kitchen side), the table a bit small. Would be nice to have a comfy sofa. TV seems to not have any free to view channels (I couldn't find CNN or BBC or a free movie channel).
Excellent location. Very spacious room. Well kitted out with cooking utensils. Efficient. Bed was nice and firm and good bedding. Temperature of room nice. Liked being given a white noise machine and ear-plugs. Coffee and teas all very nice. I had read some really bad reviews and was fearful that it was going to be awful but it was actually really good!

United States of AmericaKnow they have an unusual setup. No staff. No front desk to check in, etc. Almost a cross between a hotel and an AirBnB. A strange experience. That sent out an email w a requirement I provide a copy of an official ID via a secure website. I figured it had something to do w the fact it's D.C. No. It's because there is no one on-site to check at your arrival. I also rec'd an email a couple days before my arrival requesting I "check in online." I ignored it figuring I'd check in when I got there. Thankfully, I still had power in my phone, so I "checked in" after downloading the app. I was then able to use my phone to tap-sensor open doors to outside, the elevator, and my room. Once this was figured out, it wasn't a big deal...though it seemed to be for a couple young guys who just flew in from Spain. Like me, they failed to check in beforehand. He didn't have the ability to access the internet on his European phone, so had some difficulty with his arrival. Though not at all cheap, it was a bit more affordable than most other similarly rated hotels. Great location, large clean room. Just know beforehand you need to read the instructions before leaving home. Once checked in we went to our room. Stuffy and warm as all get out. It was only March, but it was a really warm weekend. It didn't appear the ac worked. Thankfully the window opened about 3 inches and there was a rotatating fan. Both made the room comfortable. Due to location m and cleanliness if the roo., I'd certainly stay a Sondor again.
The location was excellent. Walking distance to Dupont Circle & Foggy Bottom. National Mall is a bit of a longer walk but certainly doable. Metro stop a couple short blocks away. Room itself was very clean.

GermanyUnfortunately there is one big negative point. Due to a flight cancellation, we had to stay an extra night in New York. Upon request via booking.com, we were given a price of $350 for the free room. This is extremely outrageous. We had to change hotels for one night.
