  • “What a charming place this is. Set in a historic house with tasteful and useful upgrades like walk-in shower and remote operated ceiling fans. Anna is a very friendly and engaging host and we loved getting to know her. The breakfast she prepared was fabulous...eggs benedict with smoked salmon and perfectly prepared poached eggs with just the right amount of hollandaise sauce. The room was very comfortable and quiet...we had a great night's sleep. The house is perfectly located part way up the slope on one side of the valley allowing a fantastic view from both our bedroom window and the spacious porch where we had breakfast. Well done, Anna. Thank you for a pleasant and memorable stay. We would definitely stay here again.”

  • Quality Inn Review Score: 6

“Room smelled like smoke when we arrived. Door to the room was propped open (probably by housekeeping due to the smell) Floors were rather dirty but we travel with our 2 dogs and aren't very fussy about our accommodations. Happy that they accepted our 2 large dogs.”

“Excellent location - a short walk to the Currituck Lighthouse & Maritime Museum & several places to eat. Beds were very comfortable & A/C system is quiet enough so it won't keep you up all night. Breakfast was great. We didn't have a chance to have dinner, but if breakfast is any indication, I'm sure the food would be great too. Banana Dog Cafe (a food truck run by the owners daughter on premises) makes the BEST coffee. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. A short (4 mile or so) drive into town for more shops & restaurants.”

  • “The location is accessible to other businesses.”

“when we got there you must check in through face time. I had requested 2 Queen beds and they switch the beds to doubles and assigned me 2 twins.”

  • Island Inn of Atlantic Beach Review Score: 10

“We liked everything! The location: 2 blocks from the quietest and most beautiful beach I have ever seen, restaurants and supermarket all 5 minutes away. The room was spacious, everything was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, even our 11-year-old son enjoyed the sofa bed. The pool was very good, the facilities in general were very clean, well painted, everything looked very good. The reception staff incredibly friendly. It is a pet friendly hotel as well as the beach, so our dog also enjoyed his stay. It has a small patio to take pets out which is also clean and pleasant, and all pet owners try to keep it in the same conditions we found it: completely clean. We had such a great time that we already booked again to spend the 4th of July on the beach!!”

  • Quality Inn Airport South Review Score: 9

“Serene environment. Great value for money”

  • Black Mountain Inn Review Score: 9

“Excellent location just outside of Black Mountain. Quiet location with easy access to Black Mountain and area. Beautiful grounds and 200-year-old heritage trees. History of this 200-year-old ex-stagecoach stop. Simple but comfortable with quite a bit of simple art deco period furnishings and art.”
