      Scottish Inns is a very well kept motel with some hotel touches such as coffee machine, microwave and good sized fridge. It was extremely accessible, convenient to everywhere - central Milford, the highway, the commercial zone and in particular to the Village Diner. The diner is literally right next door and has great food, American and Greek. Scottish Inns also had the dark curtains to enable folks to sleep I, which we very much needed to after a long drive. All in all, our stay at Scottish Inns was excellent.

      I loved that it seems to be very quiet even with a lot of people staying there. Love the breakfast in the morning and that the menu changed up the items so it was not the same thing every morning. They have a facility that you can use a room that is open 24 hours a day. Plus the indoor pool was a nice addition and it seemed to be very clean.

      They kept the hallways super cold, which I found a little unnecessary, but it was not so bad that it would mark off any points. The elevator could use some work because it jolted every time it went up or down, but again electronics things happen.

      The hotel was conveniently located for a work event near National Harbor. The evening staff was friendly and helpful.

      While the evening front desk staff was pleasant, The digital key option did NOT work (was told it was due to booking through a 3rd party app), and I had to request key cards. The key card provided by the front desk did NOT work initially had to have them reset twice. I had request welcome items provided for Hilton Honors members. The room was stuffy and warm upon entry. Cleanliness was a concern as there were discarded (USED) Q-tips in the bathroom trash can. The morning front desk staff was visibly irritated about something (perhaps just busy) bu his irritation was translated to guests as they approached the front desk. I was not given the option of a late checkout which would have been helpful as I was traveling mid-week and needed to conduct some business on Thursday. Just overall a bit disappointed with this Hilton sponsored hotel.

      If you book through booking.com, breakfast is NOT free. It's only free if you book a room through the hotel. That's kinda a crock but the guy at the front desk didn't really care what we thought!

      I arrived and could not even breathe in my room it was so smokey. I had requested and paid for a smoke free room but definitely did not get one. I went to call the front desk to ask if there were other rooms but my room phone did not work. I decided to walk out to talk to the front desk and noticed my room DID NOT HAVE A LOCK! I had been traveling for hours that day for my niece’s graduation and knew I could not stay alone in a first floor room filled with smoke and without a lock. I had to book another hotel 40 minutes away from the graduation. It was a total nightmare and the property would not issue a full refund despite the unsafe conditions of not having a lock even after I sent a picture to prove. Booking.com also was extremely unhelpful with resolution. They told me they would help with a full refund and in the end didn’t give me what they promised. This was an absolutely awful experience that could have been easily resolved with appropriate customer service but instead was handled completely inappropriately and by misleading the customer. I will never use this app or stay at the hotel ever
