destination reviews from real travelers

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

  • Riu Dubai Beach Resort - All Inclusive

    - “The food was the best I have ever had in any hotel, and I have been traveling for over 40 years!!!”

  • Cooinda Lodge Kakadu

    - “I stayed in a glamping tent and it was fantastic! The bed was cosy, the room spacious, and everything was impeccably clean. There was everything I needed plus more - even a mini fridge to store food and a kettle for tea/coffee in the mornings. The shared bathroom/shower facilities were clean and never too busy. I also highly recommend the food at the bar (I never at Mimi’s but just at the restaurant) - previous reviews hadn’t mentioned much about the food but it was phenomenal!! There is only wifi available in this shared communal area, but it worked like a dream. And it was nice being disconnected otherwise! The staff were amazing!! They were accommodating and communicative. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Cooinda lodge is one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend.”

  • CLH Suites Domingos Ferreira

Nothing was too much for them and they were always on hand to help whether it be to order a taxi, give directions, replenish room supplies etc. Each morning they served us with a wonderful breakfast. We used the bikes provided. The location is great, near shops and a few minutes walk from a gorgeous beach. We shall be rebooking for sure.”

Staff were nice. Rooms are well designed and plenty spacious. Breakfast oatmeal and addition options were really good. I suggest steel cut oats to make it even better. The bold coffee was more like a medium roast. It is on the river with easy access to a walking scenic trail. It is very short drive to University of Alabama, but walking it would not be advisable.

Misrepresented that it was a guest house. It was a hostel. The house was dirty and it was loud cost way too much for a little room, and the bedding was dirty.

The person attending could not speak English and use a translator. The house was dirty. The sheets were dirty, and the owners were very unprofessional. When I called to complain. He cussed me out and the house was supposed to be private bathroom and everyone was using the sink was plugged, the kitchen was dirty, it was supposed to be a guest house and it was not misrepresented what he was renting and then said he would refund my money and refused to

Room was clean and ready upon arrival and was an easy check in. Pretty standard hotel with no real extras.

The parking at this facility is horrid. 45 mins to have Valet park your car. Forget wanting to put something in your car after its parked. The front desk knew the staff in the parking garage was going to be a problem. Then to leave we had to wait while 4 other people behind us got their car before us. We were informed they could not find our car! On top of that the parking was not included in the price of the hotel!

This building has been turned into what I can only describe as a refugee/homeless shelter. The rooms are packed with families living in the hotel. The walls are paper thin so you can hear babies crying, kids yelling, and large groups hanging out at all hours of the night. We called the front desk a couple of times in the middle of the night but I’m not sure there is much you can do. The food they cook has a very thick and non pleasing scent and it lingers in the hallways and into some of the rooms. We had to open our window. Early one morning somebody burnt food and the fire alarms went off. The foreigners didn’t understand and were in the hallways and blocking the stairwell. Had it been a serious fire multiple people would have been injured. The language barrier made all communication impossible. The exercise room has become a playground for kids when school gets out. The front lobby becomes a hangout for the older males in the evening and though it might be safe it doesn’t feel so. They only clean rooms between guests. There was poop smeared on our bathroom door frame. The hallways are filthy. There are poop/puke stains. The elevator wasn’t much better. You have to be careful driving up to or around the building as the parking lot is a playground for kids. I would not stay here unless you absolutely couldn’t afford anything else. We ended up finishing our trip at a motel 6 that was leaps better, which is sad.
