Property could've been cleaned better: we noted some carpets that could use another round of vacuuming, and some items in the kitchen needed to be cleaned. Some of the property photos are a bit misleading, or are perhaps outdated, as the actual house did not have some of the items that are reflected in the photos. For example, the kitchen photo shows a blender when there was not one available during our stay. Our friend stayed in the guest bedroom, but the windows did not have any blinds. A curtain rod was previously there, as we could see the holes in the wall, but it has since been removed. There was some sort of outdoor fixture that looked like it could close over the bedroom window, but it was stuck open, so our friend had to sleep without any blinds to block the daylight. Another issue was the master bathroom, which has a bathtub with a sliding door that only opens from one side, which is partially blocked by the toilet. It made getting in/out of the shower inconvenient and possibly a slipping hazard. A larger issue we had from our 3-night stay was that we ran out of supplies in the house, like paper towels and disinfecting wipes, as there were no extras to be found. This could easily be resolved by ensuring there are extras available for guests, especially when it's a multi-night stay. Lastly, one overlooked amenity that should be disclosed is there are external security cameras on the property (doorbell, driveway, and backyard). I understand security reasons for having the cameras, but it is necessary to disclose this on the listing.
