We discovered that the restaurant is not like a typical hotel afterthought, it's a beautiful stand-alone taverna with lots of delicious options for lunch and/or dinner until late in the evening, along with breakfast the next morning. There is a stunning sea view from both inside the restaurant and outside, on the multi-level patio (the rooms are behind it, further up the hill). Speaking of the hill, it is a rather steep one! We discovered that after we picked up our rental car near the airport then drove the half hour to check out the place for lunch on the way to Kalami - we had to turn off the air conditioning for our little Peugeot 208 to make it up the driveway. :-)”

The owners, Roland and Ina, do everything personally. Guests are welcomed with a bottle of wine the first night. Every morning, they set out a full breakfast including coffee, fruit, cheese, yogurt, eggs, and breads. Guests can use the frig and kitchen as needed. There are a lot of restaurants and beaches close by. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and, of course, the pool and outdoor grounds are clothing-optional.”

      Pleasant staff. Rooms large. Reasonable price. The "bar meals" are good for the price but limited choices.

      Whilst it advertised itself as a hotel it is not like a normal well appointed Las Vegas Hotel. It is more like a large tired motel with a Casino. The Location is the worst feature. The hotel is not near "The Strip". There are no buses near the hotel. You cannot easily walk to "The Strip" The Monorail is a 10 minute walk and I used it. However the Monorail stations are not convenient and in general puts you into or near a Casino and a long walk and hard to find the route through each Casino to "The Strip". There is a lift to the 2nd and 3rd floor but it is small, old and you feel cautious about it in case it stopped and you are trapped. Whilst the room location itself was very quiet the walls are thin and I got woken at 3am by guests in the next room just talking loudly and sounded as if in my room!

      Drive approach is very steep as is all of the hotel drive ways in this area. If you have a low vehicle scraping will happen. Take a very angled approach in and out.

      We called ahead to confirm that room would be ready since we had an even to attend immediately after checking in and changing clothes. When we got there, there was no room ready. The staff member "found" a room for us and we unloaded, changed and left...turned the air conditioning on . When we returned it was on heat at 75 degrees. It was hot in the room where the AC should have been on. They came up made some adjustment... still not working. Pretty sure they knew that to begin with. Checking out I mentioned that the room was hot, staff said that there was nothing that they could do, manager was not in. That they would "take care of us". The manager wrote us an email saying that they would take care of us the next time we came back with an unspecified discount. I would not stay here.

      When we checked in our room smelled like smoke. When I called to tell the desk so I wasn’t charged for the incidental for it, he offered to move our room. The room we were put in had a broken light in the bathroom. We were put in another room, and that room was occupied. The FOURTH room we were put in was ASLO OCCUPIED. Then, the FIFTH room we were put in ALSO WAS OCCUPIED. Finally, we end up in a room and it’s DIRTY but at this point I’ve spent an hour walking into other guests rooms with my luggage cart hauling everything over hells half acre and back. Very very very disappointed in this stay. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, unfortunately. The man at the front desk was very kind and apologetic but it took over an hour for us to check in and we accidentally disrupted several guests by walking directly into their room. I don’t feel safe staying here because of that either but unfortunately I don’t have a choice.
