How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

  • Stefanosplace ApartHotel Sea View

    - “We had a wonderful stay at Stefanos' place - Jo and all of the staff were so welcoming! We discovered that the restaurant is not like a typical hotel afterthought, it's a beautiful stand-alone taverna with lots of delicious options for lunch and/or dinner until late in the evening, along with breakfast the next morning. There is a stunning sea view from both inside the restaurant and outside, on the multi-level patio (the rooms are behind it, further up the hill). Speaking of the hill, it is a rather steep one! We discovered that after we picked up our rental car near the airport then drove the half hour to check out the place for lunch on the way to Kalami - we had to turn off the air conditioning for our little Peugeot 208 to make it up the driveway. :-)”

  • The Pavilion Hotel Kuta

    - “We loved this naturist-friendly B&B! The facility is a large villa, with 5 rooms, a large shared living room and kitchen, great patio, sundeck, pool and hot tub. The owners, Roland and Ina, do everything personally. Guests are welcomed with a bottle of wine the first night. Every morning, they set out a full breakfast including coffee, fruit, cheese, yogurt, eggs, and breads. Guests can use the frig and kitchen as needed. There are a lot of restaurants and beaches close by. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and, of course, the pool and outdoor grounds are clothing-optional.”

Very friendly and efficient reception staff, a nice way to feel welcome and valued as a guest. Plenty of free parking spaces, spacious room with two types roller shades for filtering sunlight or complete room darkening. Larger mini fridge with a working freezer compartment to freeze water bottles for the next day for my cooler. Since there are gaps on the bottom of the doors, you can hear people talking in the hallways and it sounds loud, but at night everyone seemed to go to bed early (many were contractor crews who also had to wake up early). It was nice to have lotion, as so many hotels don't provide it. These were in wall dispensers, along with good quality hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, body wash in dispensers. The woman staffing the breakfast room was also very pleasant and helpful, which is not always the case in these busy breakfast rooms.

I like having four pillows on the bed, but unfortunately they were a bit worn out and had to be doubled on top of one another. Nice white duvet had a couple of stains on it that I guess didn't come out during the laundering, so psychologically it is not pleasant. Coffee set up right next to sink faucet was not appetizing as the packets all looked old and splattered with sink water from previous guests and one condiment packet that contained the sugar, stirer, etc. had been already opened and was never removed/replaced. Inside of the water well for the coffee maker did not look clean from mineral deposit stains, so I did not use it, and used the microwave instead. No tea in the room, but you can get complimentary tea and honey packets and paper cups from the lobby (room only has foam cups, not good for microwaving). Having a microwave and fridge were important in chosing this hotel over another hotel room in the area that did not have these. The rooms were nicely updated and modern and generally felt clean, but it's things like the worn out pillows and grayish older towels that bring down the experience. But at this price point, it is to be expected. Overall, it's fine for one night.

Beautifully restored historical home. We were warmly greeted by our host and given a very interesting history of the building, which they have renovated with love and much hard work. Gorgeous garden and outdoor area. Our room was spacious, lovely, and very comfortable. Delicious breakfast made by the host's husband. A truly wonderful experience. And, one we will definitely repeat.

The WIFI was good. The building had elevators. The room had a working refrigerator and microwave. The parking situation was much better than average. Housekeeping was promised everyday, but did not always come but were attentive when they did. The hotel was willing and able to extend our visit several weeks. The room was quiet with no road noise.

The toilet overflowed but help came immediately. Breakfast was clearly budget and varied little during our stay. There was just not enough places to put out suitcases and carry-ons. There was a desk, but the A/C blew directly on it. A table with two chairs would have been very helpful, but there would be no place to put it. The recliner really was not that comfortable.

I cannot talk about what it was like because at 4:40 pm on the afternoon we were to check in they called said there was a water leak and that they were cancelling our reservation.

Our reservation was cancelled at 4;40 on the afternoon we were to check into the hotel. They were not very nice about it and did not try in any way to help us find another place to stay. It was graduation weekend for Baylor University and we could not find another room at an affordable price.

I asked the floor staff for towels. When we came back, no towels. The next day I went down and asked the desk manager for towels and that the garbage needed emptying. Came back that evening, again no towels and the trash was still full. Being frustrated, I went down to the desk manager and asked for towels and trash bags so I could empty the trash myself! This is not acceptable. Not sure if I would return to this hotel.
