      Room and facilities were comfortable and appealing. The bed was extremely comfortable.

      We stayed in room 523. The shower spray was extremely weak. The shower head needs cleaning. There was a bit of mold near the shower drain in the corner near the door. We were traveling on I-75 and the hotel wasn’t extremely convenient to the on and off ramps.

      Loved the location. Beds were comfortable. room was clean.

      There was only one chair for our table with five people in the unit. Having meals there was near impossible. Despite paying more this time for an ocean front room, we only had one bathroom that was a headache. The outdoor shower was not working, so we were dragging sand into the room each trip to the beach. The pool had lots of sand in it by the end of each day because people washed off in it before going to their rooms. Also, I could not.enjpy the balcony or pool due to the smokers in that area.

      I got in really late, nearly midnight with my young son. I had driven 15 hours. I requested a later check out because of the drive with my little boy and the hour I checked in, 11:50pm (roughly) the owners wife I presume said check out is 11:00. I said I understood but stressed the hour I was checking in and asked if there was any later I could do, like noon? She said 11:10. Then she made me pay for my dog in cash saying she couldn’t run a debit card. Completely lying to get cash. I said sure, but I want a later checkout. She said 11:30. Drive to the room and she is chasing me down because she gave me a key to someone else’s room. I finally get I , my son and I are exhausted. It’s the wrong room. I paid more for a king bed. I figured I’d be reimbursed the next day. They tried to fight me the morning of saying check out is 11:00 and that I “should have told them when I checked in that I had the wrong room.” I booked this place BECAUSE it said it was family owned. I’m a single mom and a business owner, I was appalled at the treatment from the owners. Could be a great spot. With different owners.

      We arrived Friday April 26th and were immediately greeted by construction workers and the strong smell of paint. We got checked in and walking back we noticed the pool was closed. Got to our room, which was remodeled but extremely dusted and not clean by any standards. Apparently, the room was not cleaned after it was finished. Dust n dirt everywhere. There was something on the blanket. Lucky for us, we brought our own blankets. Then at about 9:30 pm we contacted the front desk about how long until the workers were done??? They were jamming music n being very loud. This continued until 10:30 pm 2 doors away from our room. 🙄 We were told they ordered a pizza and didn’t have a time that they would be done. I’m sorry, but construction workers working that late is so unprofessional and disrespectful to your guests. There was no blow dryer in the room as well. The coffee maker n the walls in the bathroom are grossly covered in dust. We also had to contact the front desk at 11pm Saturday night about kids running rampant in the room above us. At checkout on Monday morning I spoke with a blond lady at the front desk. I reiterated the situation that we were having and she got attitude with me and tried to tell me that we should have told her what was going on. But we had already informed the front desk. It is not our job to relay messages to the next shift. I definitely wasn’t looking for a free vacation. I come to MICHIGAN minimum of three times a year. I decided to try a new hotel just because and boy did I make a big mistake picking your place. The blonde lady then tried to tell me that Information on the website informing people that the pool was closed. I said it definitely was not then a younger brown haired girl looked it up and inform the blonde woman that it definitely was not on the website. I’m sure there is more but I absolutely was disappointed and will never stay at your hotel again. Total disappointment and stressed over the whole ordeal.
