There is only wifi available in this shared communal area, but it worked like a dream. And it was nice being disconnected otherwise! The staff were amazing!! They were accommodating and communicative. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Cooinda lodge is one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend.”

      It was very clean and comfortable! From the sheets to the restroom. We slept like babies on that mattress. The ac worked great! The shower was super nice. And the location was very quiet even though it is located close by to the expressway.

      It felt as if the room wasn't inspected to be ready before we arrived. We didn't have any type of soap for our hands in the restroom as well as no tissues. The TV did not work, we requested to move rooms in which the TV in the new room did work but that room also didn't have any soap. We always enjoy the pool at the hotel and I did call ahead and was told it was functioning, but it wasn't the whole weekend. We left our room twice during the day and housekeeping didn't ever come in. So we had all of our trash inside the room our whole stay. It was upsetting to have received this type of service our first time at this hotel. Please do better!

      The Greystone is always comfortable and clean. We were able to walk quickly to the main strip in Gatlinburg. We got a room with balcony over the river. That's always nice to have.

      We got rooms with no windows. We parked the car in the garage. The rule is confusing, you have to pay to get in and to get out, if you don't buy the daily pass.

      Lack of explanation and transparency from management. Poor sound insulation in rooms and hotel. Thin walls. Poor water pressure and lukewarm water temperature in shower. I stayed at this hotel once and had two rooms, one for myself and one for an elderly couple who are friends. There were problems in the couple's room with a flashing light. I wasn't part of the conversation, but my friend registered this problem with reception. The next morning the smoke or fire alarm in my room went off at 4:50 a.m. After a few minutes it stopped. After it stopped, I got up and got ready to leave normally and came down at 6. I then asked reception about it and was told someone had set it off and that the alarm was building wide. I did not complain about it--I just wanted to know what the cause was. I understand that my companions complained about the alarm when it happened. I was not present and do not know the tone of the conversation. We had breakfast and left. Then I rebooked this hotel three weeks later using booking.com. When I arrived the receptionist spent a lot of time on the screen then told me that they would not give me a room because I was "blacklisted" and that the file on me said that I had been "rude to staff". I was stunned to learn this and greatly inconvenienced to be told at the moment of check-in rather than in advance. I left and scrambled to make new arrangements. I have called reception two times and sent emails to reception and to the manager twice to follow up on this incident and have had no response. I would like to clear my name as I believe that it was my guests that may have triggered this status of "rude to staff". (The booking was under my name). My friend is very direct and I can understand a possible unpleasant exchange but I also question the sensitivity of staff to abrupt personalities.
