I have never been so disappointed in a hotel stay. I arrived at 1030 from a delayed east coast flight and I was exhausted. I did the kiosk check in as I was encouraged to do so via text. In the elevator I overheard a porter mentioning that he was moving a woman to another room because her walls were shaking from the pool party. I got to my room on the 9th floor and it was worse than I imagined - the walls shook, even with earplugs I could distinctly identify the songs. I called the front desk and asked if I could be moved and she flatly said no and that the pool party would be done in an hour. No apology, no warmth, no kindness. I was so tired and had a 6am work call so the only quiet place to sleep was on the floor of the bathroom with the bed pillows. When I called the front desk to request new sheets and when she asked why, I explained I slept on the bathroom floor, and again the person did not apologize, was not warm, was not kind. She just said I’ll have housekeeping change the sheets. When I went downstairs to the front desk and asked about additional parties the next nights, I was told there were daytime pool parties that would be done by dark. When I calmly explained how loud it was and how I slept on the bathroom floor, again no apology, no warmth, no kindness. When I asked if I could receive some sort of compensation for the night before, without looking me in the eyes, the woman at the front desk quickly offered me a $40 room credit. Then when I tried to use the pool before the pool party I was told it was closed due to the party.
For the price, the rooms are sparse - no fridge, no microwave. When I ran into the housekeeping staff, she asked if I didn’t need anything in the room which tells me that the front desk did not tell housekeeping to change my sheets.
I have never hated a hotel stay in my life. I’ve stayed in Vegas at many other hotels and I’ve never had such poor soundproofing or such rude unkind staff members.
