Travel Gurus sharing their best tips

How does it work?

  • 1

    It starts with a booking

    It starts with a booking

The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

  • 2

    Followed by a trip

    Followed by a trip

When guests stay at the property, they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff is, and more.

  • And finally, a review

    And finally, a review

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

It arrived a few minutes late and we had planned to just sit back and enjoy it but being late we couldn't do this. I just happened to see their note that if your stay isn't a 10 to text them. I texted them and in 2 minutes they replied and then called our room...really 2 minutes!! They apologized and only charged for 1 breakfast. They offered to get more food but we got enough food for 4 people not 2. We were so pleased with this. This trip was on my bucket list and everything was perfect..especially our stay at Sheraton.”

The location of the house is wonderful with beautiful views of the mountains and ocean and surrounded by coffee trees , macadamia trees, and all sorts of tropical fruits. The balcony is very spacious and cozy. I could stay there for whole day. The breakfast serviced couldn’t be better with nice bread or home made quiche, fresh and sweet fruits from their garden , and Kona coffee from their plantation. It exceeds my expectations.

The drive to the house is a little difficult since the house is location is on sort steep mountain, but if you pay attention to the direction given by the owner and arrive in daylight, it should not be a problem. Don’t follow Google direction. Drive slowly and carefully after you get off the main road.

Your front-desk employee, ALEX, deserves a raise! Nicest, MOST PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY young man - worked hard to accommodate a move for us the second day, after it was discovered, too late the night before, that the shower in our room didn't work (and the water going into the tub to take even a bath was just a trickle) as maintenance wasn't scheduled to work until two days later in the week.

Listing on Booking.com (who I am sure lists things as they are presented TO THEM, so not at fault), for this property, states there is a "useable" pool, daily housekeeping, a restaurant on site...ALL of which are inaccurate! Pool is completely drained - you might want to check with the actual hotel to see if it is functional. Daily housekeeping - NO! Only for vacated rooms. We had to request fresh towels during our three night stay. The on-site restaurant is NOT open, despite a "Now Open" sign in one of the upper windows. What this all leads up to, and our biggest complaint, is that THE HOTEL CHARGED A RESORT FEE!!! No pool/spa, no housekeeping, no continental breakfast or anything resembling it, save for homemade flavored water at the check-in desk, plus having to be changed to a second room for a non-working shower, does NOT equal any kind of reason to be charging an exorbitant resort fee (I live in Vegas - we know resort fees and what they are for). Resort fees are usually reserved for actual resorts with working amenities - this was a room, in a hotel...a clean, comfy room, but certainly not a "resort" by any means. Were told we'd have to go thru Booking.com for any "issues". THANK YOU, BOOKING.COM!

The AC was insanely loud (and in hindsight broken because it didn't really cool down the room). I should have been more aware how loud it must be there when booking, but maybe it helps fellow people: the street is very busy and loud.

Valet takes at LEAST 30 minutes to drop off and receive your car. the toilet in our room was used and not flushed upon entry, no soap in the shower, when asked for some we got told no they didn’t have any. multiple stains on the sheets, when i asked for new ones they told us no they’ll change them in the morning. i sent 2 messages asking for new ones which were ignored. then around 1030 we went and requested new ones. they said they’ll bring them up shortly. we had to go down and ask 2 more times and didn’t get them till 130am. The AC in our room was broke. the room smelled musty and like animal urine. We asked for a new room but got told no. The final straw was when our dog started wheezing and panting so hard because she was overheating from the broken AC we had to leave at 2am to go to another hotel. They won’t refund us or do anything to fix the problem since we went through booking.com so hopefully booking will handle it.
