      The location is great. Easily accessible and located at a light.

      They are currently renovating and advertise all new rooms. We didn’t get one of those. We had two microwaves, neither worked. The refrigerator froze our food and the ice maker didn’t work. The new couch was not comfortable and was made for a teenager because it so small. They did have new bed linens but they need to get some new bath ones as well.

      The hotel comprises two buildings: the historic structure, imbued with age-old charm, and a more contemporary addition. Upon our arrival, we were allocated a room with a small window tucked beneath a staircase. It was cramped and dimly lit, permeated by a musty odor suggestive of mildew. Exhausted from our journey, we resigned ourselves to spending the first evening there. However, I made a polite request for a room change, which the staff graciously accommodated, offering us a notably superior room in the historic building. While an improvement over the initial accommodation, the quality fell short of my expectations given the price point. Lingering odors reminiscent of the previous room persisted, likely exacerbated by the aged, unkempt carpets prevalent throughout the building. Though the furnishings possessed a certain antique charm, they proved to be problematic; the bed emitted incessant creaks and groans, disrupting our rest. Sound insulation between rooms was virtually non-existent, as evidenced by the intrusive snoring from a neighboring guest that deprived me of sleep for a night. However, the most glaring issue was cleanliness—or rather, the lack thereof. Our room went unattended throughout our stay, with no sign of cleaning personnel for the entirety of our week-long tenure. Trash accumulated in the bathroom, and we were left to seek out disposal options ourselves. The carpets were visibly stained and filthy, while the bathroom sink exhibited patches of grime. The windows were obscured by layers of dust, leaving us with a distinctly unpleasant impression of the premises. I strongly urge the hotel owner to undertake a comprehensive renovation, preserving the allure of the historic character while implementing a more stringent cleaning policy. As for booking.com, a reconsideration of their payment strategy is warranted. I advocate for a system where travelers have the opportunity to inspect and approve their accommodations before funds are disburse

      I think the staff were okay. Not helpful when you needed help. The phone just kept ringing. If you need a lot of help this isn’t the best hotel. Luckily it was just a day trip so I did my best to avoid the front desk.

      My shower had no hot water & the lowest water pressure I've ever seen. Contacted front desk & they sent maintance; I was getting ready for a concert while they were "fixing it" after maintance left I head out to the concert. I get back to the room at 1 Am, go to take a shower & still the same issue! I call front desk & was told wait until the morning because they didn't have anyone to fix it at that time. Morning comes & still no maintance!
