      The property was fine clean and front desk staff were nice but valet guy was very rude when we tried to ask for help getting in the garage and our key card was not working he yelled at me.

      At the time there was a race going on we wish we knew about and we weren’t able to enjoy the food trucks that usually park in front of the hotel which was the main reason we booked here

      I liked the quaintness, charming appeal. The pillows and bed were very comfortable. I would definitely stay again at the Hummingbird Inn.

      The TV sound was very low and I couldn’t adjust it. However I loved having a variety of tv stations to choose from.

      Location worked well for us, room was comfortable, breakfast was OK.

      Check in was poor. We were told we asked for a walk-in shower, which was incorrect - we have never needed a walk-in shower. We were told there's an additional $15 fee for incidentals but the concierge was unable to explain what that meant and was unable to generate a receipt so I didn't know why I had to pay the extra charge and wasn't even sure if she charged the correct amount. Then it turned out that the bedspread had not been changed. It smelled heavily of perfume and was stained. We were too tired to deal with the unhelpful concierge again that night. The next morning I complained and asked for a new bedspread/duvet/quilt. We said we would be out for the day and the concierge promised it would be changed. When we returned after 6pm it still had not been changed. No one seemed to care. They said we would have a clean bedspread in 20 minutes but we had to wait 40 minutes and two people brought it to our door - neither one seemed sincerely apologetic.

      The main problem is a common one for these kinds of folks running a hotel is they purposely provide the bare minimum in order to save money, instead of providing even a baseline of quality for their guests. It's a stingy, ungenerous way to run a business. Most of the lights in the facility were off, especially in the main areas, leaving it feeling creepy and unsafe (already being in a bad part of town). The breakfast they claim to have is nothing more than crappy coffee from a machine that hasn't been cleaned in a while, and little to no food. The room amenities were also scarce, and the room card did not work, and I was accused of deactivating it putting it next to something magnetic, instead of offering an apology and a giving me a good card. Folks need to learn how Americans run a business with excellence and generosity to their guests.

      I had a two year old and the people below us, only after we'd come in for 5 minutes complained that she was running. It was only 9:30pm. Also the staff is too ridgid at Check out.
