      The location was good. There were lots of food options nearby. Staff was friendly enough. The price was the big plus.

      The internet just didn't work in the room. Even trying all the networks, it would just not work. This was pretty bad for me. It would work on the lobby area, but not in the room I was staying in. The rooms are a little bit outdated. The elevator can be challenging, sometimes guests forget to close the manual doors and then you have to take the stairs.

      The rooms are very clean and great location for our need.

      Door keys dint work and had replaced 3 times. Elevator was broke during stay, hallways are dirty and run down, many amnentities in the room are very outdated.

      I am not sure that I always feel safe on the property - one wing of the hotel is abandoned and there is a lot of traffic in and out around there. I always have to wait a long time at the desk for check in even though I have booked and paid in advance they do not have my keys and paperwork prepared. It is frustrating.

      The first issue was that the stopper in the sink wouldn't stay in place, so the water just ran out. The second issue is that the toilet is so low. It is not even a standard height. It's like a child toilet. My wife had trouble pulling her self up because there aren't any bars to grab. That is just a really dangerous issue!!!

      Upon arrival to the hotel the front desk lady was stressed as to house keepers leaving and rooms were still dirty. The lady in the office actually didn't even work there she was from another hotel. When we were able to get our room key the room seemed decent although there was black mold in the bathroom. We decided to stay as we were in Port A for my birthday and wanted to be down at the beach. On the second night of our stay we found a BED BUG! We notified Booking and the front desk. We also looked at reviews to confirm the bed bug problem lo and behold there were reviews from just a few days prior for bed bugs. The lady working that night (April 29th) said yeah there's bed bugs and that THEY ONLY TREAT THE ROOMS THAT ARE REPORTED FOR BED BUGS NOT THE WHOLE PROPERTY. We said we'd check out in the morning because it was almost midnight and we were not about to drive 5 hours back home with a toddler. However she marked us as checked out that night, so come 7 am we had a man walk into our room as we were still asleep. So I immediately called down to the front desk and the property manager (Lisa) was now there and she denied there ever being bed bugs on the property. STRAIGHT UP LIED!!! People from as early as the week before reported there being bed bugs. Not to mention the reviews from even a year ago for bed bugs. When packing up our belongings we asked if we could have late check out due to being tired from the whole ordeal we were DENIED even though we were still CHARGED FOR THAT WHOLE DAY. SHE HAS ALSO GIVEN THE RUN AROUND ABOUT A REFUND (We were refunded 20 dollars out of the 140.)Needless to say save your money don't rent here!!! We also notified the health department in Port Aransas to have this disgusting place investigauted.
